We also have tons of blankets and pillows for extra cozy relaxation. We have a dining area for 6 along with an open kitchen that looks onto the dining and living room. Enjoy amazing views from inside or step out onto our large deck accessed from the dining room and take in all the amazing nature and views that surround our cozy little home. Our kitchen is fully equipped with newer appliances, along with anything you need to cook and prepare meals for the whole family. This includes coffee, spices, olive oil and more! There is one bathroom on the first floor with a walk-in shower. BUNK ROOM Head up the next set of stairs and you’ll find a tiny little room with a bunk bed. We like to call this the “Kid’s Fort”. The room has a bunk bed and a bookshelf with plenty of children’s books. Please keep in mind this room is most suitable for children and/or small adults. SECOND FLOOR On the second floor, you will find two good-sized bedrooms both with queen beds, another bathroom with a separate vanity area and the loft. The master bedroom has great views of Squaw Valley and plenty of closet space. The second bedroom also has a comfortable queen-size bed with windows overlooking the pines above. Climb the ladder to the loft for a cozy sleeping adventure! It’s like sleeping in a tree house! The bathroom on this floor is shared between the two bedrooms. It has a shower/tub combo as well as a separate sink/vanity area for more privacy. This home is perfect for a family looking to stay in a comfortable hideaway in an amazing location with great views! *Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event that an item is damaged/broken/lost the owner will restock as soon as possible. All items in description/pictures are not guaranteed.* Guests will have access to the entire home. Our home is the closest townhome in the complex to the parking lot at Palisades Tahoe. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the village and the tram. You do need to walk down a small hill to the Squaw Valley road, but it’s very short. The property is right across the street from the main parking lot on the hillside and will literally take you a couple of minutes to cross the street to get to the village and lifts. We overlook KT-22 and Shirley Canyon. Olympic Valley is a magical part of Lake Tahoe, sitting at the base of the Palisades Tahoe ski resort. With the Village just minutes away, guests can walk, drive, or take the shuttle to enjoy the hustle and bustle during both the Summer and Winter months. Peruse the many shops, enjoy a warm apres ski cocktail, or feast at any of the restaurants located at the base of the mountain. There are also some great hiking trails during Spring, Summer, & Fall that reward you with incredible views of the area. When you stay in Olympic Valley you enjoy another side of Lake Tahoe. Rustic luxury is what you can expect in this area, along with majestic views, world-class skiing, and tons of other activities for the entire family. Palisades Tahoe is also home to the US Ski Team so be on the lookout for some of our hometown heroes! Although tucked away, you are a short drive from the quaint town of Truckee which is home to plenty of great shopping and restaurants. Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City are also a short drive away. Tahoe City has some great beaches, eating spots as well as all your necessity shops like CVS, Save-Mart, etc. You will find us in the heart of Olympic Valley. To get to the home, you take the 89 and take the Squaw Valley Road turn off. Once you’re in the Valley (less than a mile), you will see Squaw Valley towering above you and the Olympic flame burning! . There is only one main road in the area, and the Palisades Tahoe sits at the end of the road and at the base of the ski slopes. Olympic Valley is only 8 miles from Tahoe City, where you will find beaches, shopping, restaurants, and more. In the other direction (North of Olympic Valley), you will find the small and lively town of Truckee and access to Hwy 80. Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). If you are interested in dates farther out, please send us a message and we will be happy to review availability for you! Depending on the time of year, we may be open to hosting long-term guests. Please note that you will have to sign an official rental agreement along with the booking if you stay more than 30 nights. You will also be required to pay for a cleaning every 30 days along with the cleaning that is already scheduled after your stay. Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window. Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
