One of two cabins on Broadwing Farm, The Cedar Cabin is cozy and secluded with a private outdoor hot tub filled with fresh mineral water. The cabin backs up to the Pisgah National Forest for listening to the sounds of the forest while you soak. In the summer, we invite our guests to come pick fresh vegetables from the garden. The Cedar Cabin has 1 queen bedroom/1 bath, 1 futon, full kitchen, screen porch, wifi, satellite tv, towels/linens, dog friendly, less than 1 mile from Hot Springs. The space Established in 1992, Broadwing Farm is home to three generations of the Dixon family, located one mile from downtown Hot Springs, NC on a plateau above the French Broad River in beautiful Western North Carolina. Broadwing Farm Cedar Cabin is situated on our 85 acre organic farm with the Pisgah National Forest out the back door and one of the most breathtaking views of the French Broad River Valley out the front door. We invite you to come stay and feel welcome to look around the farm and gardens. You may see us mowing a field, harvesting the beans and corn, or fishing in the pond. We make every effort to make our guests feel at home while we live the life we have chosen here on Broadwing Farm. We are fortunate to be able to offer our Cedar Cabin guests a private outdoor hot tub filled only with fresh, hot mineral water for relaxing under the starry sky. The Cedar Cabin has a private bedroom with queen size bed and a futon in the living room for additional sleeping. During the spring or fall months, you may want to sleep on the futon on the Cedar Cabin screen porch. There is a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, ac, gas fireplace, WiFi, land line w/free long distance, Satellite TV, and propane grill. Towels and linens are provided. During the growing season, our farm focus is mainly on our large gardens full of a wide variety of vegetables and cooking herbs, a young orchard for fruit and small flock of chickens for eggs. In season, we happily share our harvest with our guests. During the spring and early summer, we sell vegetable, herb and flower garden starts from our greenhouse. Hot Springs is a dream of outdoor adventures. The hiking in the Hot Springs area is some of the best in the Southeast with a wide range of challenge, from easy to strenuous. Even if you'd prefer a leisurely stroll down the main street in Hot Springs, you'll be walking on the Appalachian Trail! The French Broad River offers fantastic class II and III whitewater along with wonderful fishing, and breathtaking scenery. Hot Springs also provides a good selection of privately owned and operated restaurants and stores to keep you entertained during your stay. If you'd like a trip into the "big city", Hot Springs is just an hour from Asheville, NC where you can enjoy an eclectic variety of restaurants, museums, tailgate markets, microbreweries, shops and of course the famous Biltmore Estate. We have had the pleasure of sharing our farm with guests for the last 15 years. Our guests visit from all over the world and we are lucky to have such a beautiful spot for sharing. Behind the cabin, you have access to the Pisgah National Forest. Other things to note When booking a stay at Broadwing Farm Cedar Cabin, enter #of adult guests only. We do not charge an extra guest fee for children under 18. Make sure to let us know your total number of guests via message, so we can have enough towels and linen for your stay.
