Lamplight Cottage- Stay and walk all over town!

Beautiful, cozy home built in 1932, just two blocks from Main Street and a half-mile from the MSU campus. Large living room with wooden archway into dining area, with original, refinished wooden floors throughout. In walking distance of over 20 restaurants, coffee shops, a bakery, the library, and shops on Main Street. The space The Master Bedroom has a king-sized bed with a Tempurpedic mattress and blackout blinds! The 'Birmingham Room': yes, this is Starkville, but we started our family in Birmingham, Alabama, and have included several Birmingham 'touches' in this room, which has 2 full beds, as well as blackout curtains. The 'Palmeiro Room' was rented by MSU baseball legend Rafael Palmeiro when he was a student here and has 2 twin beds; and you guessed it- it also has blackout curtains. The Reading nook is a study off the living room that is perfect for those times when you are looking for a quiet space to read, work, or make a phone call. We have included a variety of books for you to peruse while you are here! (Want to keep a book that you can't seem to put down? Please leave $12 and the name of the book so I can replace it after you leave!) The Kitchen is large and equipped with essentials for cooking and hosting. The 'coffee corner' includes coffee, creamer, hot teas, and hot chocolate. Help yourself to any food you see-- we will occasionally leave a few treats. The Dining Room seats 8. Family Fun: Several games, Legos, and children's books are included in the living room and bedroom closets. Baby and Toddler Items: in the first bedroom closet in the 'Birmingham Room,' you will find a Pack-N-Play with crib sheet, baby swing, nursing pillow, baby activity center, Bumbo seat, and toddler potty seat. Parking is behind the house and may accommodate up to 4 vehicles. Our driveway is steep and will accommodate a small trailer but not a camper or RV. Guest access Guests may access all of the house. Other things to note There is cable TV in the living room and high speed internet; the password is available upon arrival.
