Big Elk Place Cabin

Tucked away in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Big Elk Cabin is located just 5 miles from the quaint town of Nemo and less than 14 miles from Sturgis. This is the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with friends, family or a romantic weekend. Discounts are possible for longer stays. Airbnb only has a way to discount stays for the whole year, and there are some weeks I don't want to discount so I have to consider it on a case by case basis. The space The cabin is right in the heart of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Close to all the tourist attractions if you want to do those things, and also close to a lot of hiking and ATV/UTV trails. Guest access The whole cabin plus the 2.3 acres of our property and millions of acres that is National Forest Service land that is all around the area. Other things to note NO DISCOUNTS FOR THE DATES OF THE STURGIS RALLY. Airbnb's calendar doesn't give me the option to change the 7 days or more discount for different times of the year, its all or nothing so I'll have to manually give price quotes for longer stays. The fireplace is turned off in the summer months. ATTENTION GUESTS WITH PETS: It will be the renters responsibility to vacuum / clean up animal hair or we may deduct a portion of the damage deposit for the extra cleaning time. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FURNITURE OR BEDS. CLEANING HAIR OFF THEM WILL RESULT IN EXTRA CLEANING CHARGES. We don't have time to wash comforters multiple times between guests because the pet hair doesn't come off after one washing as a rule. We also ask that all droppings are picked up from the front yard and all areas mowed on the sides and back. We ask that when you leave the cabin is left no different than a guest who didn't have pets. There is no cable/satellite TV/local OTA. We have a smart TV that you can log into your personal streaming apps on in the living room. Most guests seem to bring their own streaming devices and plug those into the TVs.
