There is another market & 2 more gas stations 6 miles down the mesa in LaVerkin. -BRYCE CANYON, LAKE POWELL, GRAND STAIRCASE NATIONAL MONUMENT, GRAND CANYON NORTH RIM: ******ALL LESS THAN 2 HOURS AWAY -KOLOB TERRACE ROAD is 2 blocks away and a 30-60 minute drive on it affords hiking, fishing, and camping opportunities. -ST GEORGE: 30 minutes -ST GEORGE AIRPORT: 40 minutes -LAS VEGAS AIRPORT: 2.5 hours -SALT LAKE CITY: 4.5 hours Guests have access to the entire house, to the private yard, & the private parking adjacent to the house. Safety Note- The ceilings in the back of the house containing the hall, laundry room, and the queen/twin bedded room are quite low. If you are especially tall, you may hit your head on the doorways, or possibly even the ceilings. The fireplace is Non-Functioning, but it has an electric heater insert with fire place illusion settings. The detached garage and it's driveway are Not Available for Guest use. My daughter Alicia lives next door to our vacation house and she usually greets all guests at some point after Check-In when she sees them outside. One of our family members is available via phone, text, email, or knocking on Alicia's front door, for any advice or to address a problem. -3 Restaurants, Souvenir Shop, Ice Cream, a Virgin River Tubing company, Helicopter rides, a BMX track, Hiking trail heads, Bike rentals, Horseback trail rides, & Sheep Bridge Park on the Virgin River, are all in Virgin within a 2-5 minutes drive on the main road (Highway 9). Groceries, Shopping, & Gas are just 10 minutes down the Mesa. -I love the serene yet colorful beauty of Zion, which is apparent as soon as you walk out of the back door of our vacation house. There are horses and sheep (seasonally) in their pastures across the street, and two easy access points to the wild Virgin River are just three blocks away. There is no public transportation. You need access to a car to get around the area. Closest airport is St George Municipal (SGU), which is a 45 minute drive. There are car rental counters at the airport. Next closest airport is Las Vegas McCarran (LAS), which is a 2.5 hour drive. Rental cars are available off site via a shared shuttle from the terminal.
