Tellico River Retreat

This beautiful location features the scenic Tellico River running from the Cherokee National Forest and just five minutes from Baldy Falls and so many other scenic, natural spots. Guest access The entire location is open to guests Other things to note The cabin was specifically built on the only "roaring" part of the white water outside the nationally forest that maintains the "roar" even in the dry season. The rest of the river turns into slow flowing river but I love the roar. just a three minute walk is a full service restaurant on the river as well, good food and well stocked bar. Their is an Amish market in season about 5 miles back toward I-75, watch for the signs. Its Gatlinburg without people and traffic. For almost twenty miles up the mountain you drive along one of the most scenic water rivers in the world, there is not place in the world that occurs. The bald river falls, Indian River boundary lake is always on the mountain. Just get a bike or car and go up, lots to see and experience with a plethora of hiking trails. For the smaller ones is the lost sea, also back toward I-75. In the town square of Tellico is a famous bakery, get there early as it fills up quickly. While absolutely non commercial, there is a save al lot and Dollar General store for your dry goods and sundry's.
