The space Our garden-level apartment is the first floor of an immaculately restored 1890s Victorian. The apartment has a varied and wild history! At varying times it was a Sufi Ashram, a beatnik hangout including the likes of Ram Dass and Alan Ginsberg (so we're told!), a flophouse, and even a reported cult dwelling. Very Boulder. Now, it's yours for a few nights. This 600+ square foot apartment is a few steps down from the front entry and has a renovated kitchen, bath, and lighting. There are windows on three sides allow for a warmth of natural light. COVID SAFE: The apartment is fully isolated from the main house with no air exchange between the two. A large closet includes plenty of shelves, hangers, luggage and clothing storage. The living room includes a large 50" HD television includes premium Xfinity cable, HBO, and access to common streaming apps for your own account use. A corner sofa with chaise pulls out to become a double bed. The kitchen has full-size appliances, including range, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Coffee and tea-making options are provided. We often receive comments about how well the kitchen is stocked with cooking tools. The bathroom features beautiful, bright tile work and a full-size shower/tub combination with plenty of solar-heated, quick hot water. Soft towels are near at hand. For young families, we have a Pack-n-Play crib and strap-in highchair. Just ask in advance. Guest access You're welcome to use the apartment and come and go as you please. We can provide you with the needed details for receiving mail and packages. You may occasionally hear our light-footed, senior citizen miniature poodle (mostly when packages arrive), but it'll be modest and never during regular sleeping hours. Our family lives above, and footstep are possible to be heard on occasion, though we are not a noisy bunch. The apartment is surrounded by 18" thick stone walls. It stays quite comfortable all summer, even without air conditioning. Fans are provided if you'd like some circulation. Colorado evenings are usually quite cool as well. For the winter, you have a separate thermostat dedicated to the apartment and there's a portable humidifier to combat Colorado's dry air, if you'd like to use it. In Boulder, we recycle and compost. Receptacles for all are provided and there are outdoor bins. No smoking or vaping on the property, thanks. Registration details RHL-0001429
