The property is rich in history! - The bricks at the river edge (and scattered throughout the property) were for the mule path for the timber that built the city of Savannah. - The square posts (on the bank by the dock) are the remains of a civil war shipyard. - Civil war bullets and an officer's revolver have been found on the property. - There is an old 160' sunken wooden boat just in front the of the cottage (obscured). - Revolutionary and civil war battles, camps and settlements were in the immediate area. - There is a half sunken tug boat a few houses down river. - 1700s era cemetery is just down the road!
