Our cozy guest house, situated in the Headwaters region, has it all! Close to hiking,golfing,biking,skiing. XCski/snowshoe from your door! Big skies for astronomers and astrophotography! We offer 32 acres of forest and fields for walking and taking in the magnificent views. The area boasts fine restaurants, boutiques, markets and artisans. Minutes to Mono Cliffs, Boyne, Mansfield Ski Club and easy driving to Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers or a small family. The space Brookside Cottage is an open concept guest house, perfect for a country getaway. Rustic wood accents complement the modern amenities. In floor heating in the shower area will keep you toasty in the winter the fully stocked kitchen is open to the living space, fireplace and entertainment area. Upstairs is a small loft and bedroom with a queen sized bed. The cottage is ideal for 2 but can accommodate a maximum of 4. (additional double high queen sized air mattress and / or a double high twin sized air mattress can be provided for children and extra guests.) From every window, you'll have exquisite views of the Mulmur Hills. We are very dog friendly and welcome well behaved, socialized dogs. Please note a pet fee of $20/dog per night applies cash upon arrival. Brookside Cottage offers unique "bed and bale" accommodation for those looking to getaway with their equine companions. We are in the heart of horse country, situated close to hours of beautiful trails. A huge paddock is available for your horses and luxury accommodation for you. Stalls available upon request. For equestrian competitors needing accommodation and / or stabling, Brookside Cottage is conveniently situated near a number of hunt fixtures and competition grounds including Palgrave and Wits End. Guest access All areas of the 32 acre property are available for use Walking trails in field and forest Fire pit (exception: dry weather/fire ban) Gazebo (perfect for morning coffee or watching the sunset with a glass of wine) Feel free to visit the horses and feed them carrots and apples. Other things to note The cottage is located near the main house but offers a lot of privacy, has a private deck with seating and BBQ. In winter months, 4x4/AWD and/or winter tires are highly recommended Occasionally, you'll see your hosts riding their horses or walking their dogs.
