On hot days, climb right in and cool off. Just 10 minutes to Downtown Lynchburg and 20 to Liberty University. Walmart, Food Lion and Sheetz only three miles. Perfect for a family memory or romantic get away!! The space The apartment is arranged in a way that allows for maximum privacy. We generally won't even know if you are here or away. The fully equipped kitchen has a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot and instant hot pot for the tea lovers. With a bit of rearranging, you can sit at the island, extend the table leaf and comfortably seat up to 10 for meals. Or head out to the patio which has seating for a crowd. The family room gas fireplace gives instant ambiance and the home theater provides quality viewing for your DVDs - or borrow one of our family friendly options. The new Blu-Ray player and reliable internet allow you to stream your favorites through your accounts. Your beds all have personal heating pads for extra cozy sleeping. We provide all linens and towels. Private laundry is available in your apartment. Out your door, you have 20 acres of woods and water to explore. Enjoy a campfire, play some carpet ball, shoot some hoops or just relax and listen to the water. We are 20 minutes to the concerts, sporting events, intensive courses, and theater productions offered at Liberty University, University of Lynchburg, Randolph College and Sweet Briar. 10 minutes to the Lynchburg Historic River District with its cobblestone streets, Academy Center for the Arts, antique shops, walking trails, restaurants and nightlife. Bring some paddling gear and make a short drive to Monacan Park for a paddle on the James River. On your way back, drive another mile on Elon Road to the famous Woodruffs' Pie Shop where you can enjoy a meal, pie, coffee and good conversation with the locals. For wonderful hiking, fishing and horse back riding, Lower Otter Pond, access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail are all close by. With a private entrance, it is completely distinct from the rest of the house but is adjacent to the main apartment for togetherness and supervision. This is an ideal option for three generations traveling together. The Studio Upgrade requires an additional booking. Enjoy the basketball court, fire pit, hammock, etc. as you wish. All water access and equipment use is entirely at your own risk. Other things to note We are early to bed and early to rise. My son is up around 6:30 to leave for cross country practice a couple of days per week. Weekends we tend to rise around 8:00. Guests report the footsteps overhead are not disturbing, but you may hear a few. Roll over and go back to sleep! Wifi is available and fast enough to stream your favorites on the home theater system.
