Renovated Train Station on Thoroughbred Horse Farm
Come stay in our newly renovated 1890's train station in the heart of the bluegrass. The space We are on a working thoroughbred horse farm right off Paris Pike, one of the most scenic areas in all of Central Kentucky. Drive by Gainsway and Elemendorf farms on the way to Claiborne farm. 15 minutes to the Kentucky Horse Park, Fasig Tipton, close to Keeneland and the Lexington area attractions. Hutchison Station was part of the L&N railroad system between 1890-1950, it still has the original hardwood floors, 12' ceilings and much of the original molding. In its heyday it included a post office, livestock loading platform, general store and blacksmith's shop. You can read more about the station house in 'Ghost Railroads of Kentucky'. Many of the original families still live in the area.
