Air Force Museum Getaway! WPAFB & Downtown too...

The best place to stay when visiting the National Air Force Museum. It's open year round, entrance is free, and you even can walk there if you want :) You will also be very close to all the Wright Patterson AFB entrances and only 5 minutes to Wright State University, only 10 minutes to the Nutter Center (for watching various shows) and Downtown Dayton - including the Oregon District, University of Dayton, Schuster Center, Miami Valley Hospital, and others. Perfect for vacation or work! The space This cozy home has two bedrooms with queen beds that can sleep 2 (or 3 kids if needed) and an extra rollaway bed if you need it. Each room has a luggage rack, a closet and an alarm clock for your use. The living room and bedroom have smart TVs (with Roku) to be able to watch local channels, Netflix and cable TV channels using the SlingTV App. (Netflix and SlingTV subscriptions are included with your stay but you can also use your own accounts in other apps like Amazon Prime or Hulu if you wish) We have also provided board games, some pocketbooks and comic books, as well as a lot of DVDs to entertain yourselves if you just want to just stay in and relax. The front porch is also a favorite of our guests to just hang out and enjoy the breeze and the view. If you are a coffee person, you also have a Keurig beverage machine with some complimentary coffee/hot chocolate cups to enjoy. (A normal Mr. Coffee brewer is also available). If you are an outdoors person, a bike lane is right in front of the home. This will connect you to the major bike lanes in town and even to other cities like Tipp City, Troy, and even to Cincinnati if you wish! (search for "miami valley trails" for more information). You can also walk to the nearby Eastwood Park to enjoy the day to picnic or just enjoy the lake. Guest access You'll have full access to the Kitchen (full size fridge, stove/oven, microwave, cooking utensils) to save money by cooking your own food, as well as laundry facilities (washer and dryer) in the basement if needed. Basement also has a ping pong table that you may use for entertainment. You will have a driveway to park your car in and several extra parking spaces if needed at the front of the property. Other things to note The back of the house is close to a railroad track (there is another house between us and the track) and you can sometimes hear a train coming through (sounds like rain pouring) for about 1-2 minutes .. about 3-4 times a day. Not loud enough to really disturb you, especially if watching TV. It's a pretty good experience to see the train as it goes by though.. you don't see that often nowadays. No parties please. This is a quiet neighborhood and we'd like to keep it that way. No smoking is allowed anywhere inside the home. If this policy is not followed, we will charge an additional cleaning fee of $100. Disclaimer: For your safety and the safety of others, a surveillance camera is installed outdoors at this property. It is located at the back on the garage building and is only pointed to the driveway, front gate and back door areas.
