A very nice, fully furnished, 3 bedroom house near the University, hospital and the mall. A lot of upgrades make this house comfortable and enjoyable. This is not your parent's basement or your mother-in-law's casita. This is the entire house. Fully furnished. Large, clean and comfortable. THREE bedrooms: two kings and a queen. New front door with key pad lock so there is no key exchange. Check-in anytime after 3PM to midnight or even later. You'll have the code to check yourself in anytime. In this newly renovated house you will find: Kitchen, fully stocked* with spices, flour, sugar, olive oil, cooking pans, dinnerware service, utensils, glassware, and more. Many kitchen tools including sharp knives and a garlic press and cutting boards. French door refrigerator with ice maker and cool filtered water dispenser. Keurig® coffee maker (by the cup or pot), Slow cooker (Crock-pot®), Bullet Blender and both a hand held mixer as well as a table top mixer. Automatic dishwasher with detergent pods.* Newer forced air furnace. Newer MasterCool® (evaporative not refrigerated). Updated bathrooms with basic amenities* (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) and Blow-dryer in each bathroom. Towels, linens, extra blankets and sheets. Extra pillows in each bedroom. Washing Machine and Dryer including laundry detergent, softener, and dryer sheets.* There is a 6 person hot tub for soaking those tired muscles. In a residential area away from the busy streets but easy to find. Close to NMSU, shopping mall, hospital and both interstates. House is on a corner lot so there is one less neighbor to worry about. The new double pane vinyl windows helps moderate the heating and cooling and keeps any street noise to a minimum. Blackout blinds in the bedrooms turns daytime into nighttime. Alarm clocks in every bedroom. Ceiling fans throughout. Breakfast is provided self-serve - Usually available is: Orange juice, milk, eggs, ham and/or bacon, bagels, butter, jams & jellies, and several kinds of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. * *Please note: For long term stays of about one week or more these and other amenities are provided as an initial supply. You may have to do your own shopping as these initial supplies are used. Enjoy the entire property except for two locked supply closets. There is a large lawn in the back and a nice sized patio with a table and chairs. Inside you'll find a 60 inch TV and Blueray DVD player as well as a Roku with internet access. Use your own Netflix or Hulu account. Also for your use is an iMac computer with printer/scanner attached. If you're logged into our Wifi your phone or other Wifi enabled computer/device should be able to print to our printer. Hot tub spa! Guests will enjoy relaxing in our 6 person hot tub. Let the warm water and bubbles melt your cares away! We live a few blocks away and are usually available to answer questions by text, phone or in-person. We can help you get settled in if you let us know when you're likely to check in. And please let us know if there is anything we can do to make this your best vacation rental experience ever. Built during the city's modest expansion of the 1960s so it's very much a part of the heart of the city. Close to the university (NMSU), the mall and the hospital. There are a couple of places to eat within one block and a convenience store is nearby. A short walk up the street is an elementary school for evening and weekend play. A couple blocks from a walking/bike path that stretches across the city from north to south. Parking for two cars in the front drive while several more can park on the street. A few dozen steps to a city bus stop but a car is recommended for getting around. Less than a mile to the NMSU campus, the Mall, and the hospital. Quick access to both interstates. Airport in El Paso (about 45 miles) is available by shuttle. It's a five or six minute drive to Old Mesilla where you'll find quaint shopping and dining. The Farmers Market on Wednesday and Saturday is a favorite destination for locals and tourists, about 5 minutes away. For the adventurous there is the newly designated Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument with great daytime hiking trails. White Sands National Park is a bit further (at least 45 minutes.) Check out our guidebook for additional local places. There is a fourth bed, full size, that is not in a bedroom. This fourth bed is on the screened back porch that does not offer any of the privacy you expect in the other three bedrooms. This bed does NOT count toward the total accommodations of 6. This bed should only be considered for use by adventuresome adults or children. Being that it's on the screened back porch there are NO climate controls. It may be hot during the summer and cold during the winter. Please don't plan on using this bed. And please don't move any part of this bed to any other space. We love our guests! Or really about 95% of our guests are great! They are respectful of the house and neighborhood. They want to simply relax and enjoy the place and what we have to offer. The others, not so much. And we hope you are in the first group of people. Let us explain. We hate to devote so much of this narrative to such a small problem, but this problem weighs heavily on us. This includes unauthorized parties or gatherings, sneaking extra people onto the reservation and pets. If you're planning a stay that includes a cake, glitter, balloons, or lots of booze it's probably a party. Even if you've paid for the maximum allowed guests it's still a party. Parties and gatherings are NOT allowed. The problem with a party is that the host/guest often loses control of the behavior of the other guests and damages are more likely to occur. Parties are NOT allowed. Unregistered guests: NOT allowed. Don't try to sneak in another guest or two. Be truthful about the number of people in your reservation. The best time to do this is when you book (up to a maximum of 6), or you can add at anytime before you arrive. If you've come to visit friends or family you should plan to visit them at their place, not ours. Pets: NOT allowed. Certified service dogs are excepted (be ready to show the papers). We live close by and we do drive by occasionally. We also have a fully disclosed (elsewhere in this listing) Ring Video Doorbell. We monitor most of the activity that the doorbell camera detects. If you attempt to cover or evade the camera we will most certainly know and it will likely result in a visit or a call from us. PENALTIES: Unauthorized parties will be terminated immediately and your reservation will be cancelled with loss of damage deposit and all reservation monies. Unregistered guests: These guests can be added to the reservation (up to a maximum occupancy of 6) but at a cost that is twice the standard nightly rate. If there are more than 6 guests your reservation will be terminated (see parties above). Unauthorized pets: Loss of damage deposit plus $20 per day.
