Description

Started out as a 1 room cabin in 1945. It's been added onto and remodeled over the years, and is now a spacious 1200 square feet, that sleeps 6. It's the last house on a short, dead end street in one of Heceta Beach's original neighborhoods. It has a peek of an ocean view and is only a 2 minute walk down a wooded trail, that you access right from the front yard. The space Heceta Haven is a classic family cabin that has grown and evolved over the decades, beginning as a tiny one‑room retreat in 1945 and slowly expanding into the comfortable coastal home it is today. Tucked at the very end of a quiet dead‑end street in one of Heceta Beach’s original neighborhoods, it offers a peaceful sense of privacy with the beach just a short, wooded walk away. Inside, the house has the easy warmth of a place that has welcomed generations. Open‑beamed ceilings, soft natural light, and a simple, familiar layout make it feel instantly relaxing. The dining room and kitchen share one open space where guests often gather for long meals, puzzles, and slow mornings. From the dining table, you can catch a glimpse of the ocean. The galley kitchen is compact but thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for cooking together. On either side of the main living area are two queen bedrooms and two cozy sitting rooms, each with a fold‑flat sofa for extra sleeping space. The master bedroom includes its own bathroom and a Roku TV. At the back of the house, a spacious family room offers plenty of seating, a peek of the ocean, and direct access to the deck. It’s a favorite spot for movie nights, storm watching, or simply settling in with a book while the sound of the surf drifts in. Guest access This is a standalone house that is all yours, you won't be sharing with anyone. Other things to note A true legacy cabin with history you can feel Heceta Haven isn’t a modern build pretending to be a cabin — it is a cabin, one that began as a one‑room retreat in 1945 and has been lovingly expanded over generations. Guests often say it feels like stepping into a family story rather than a rental. End‑of‑the‑road privacy The house sits at the very end of a quiet dead‑end street in one of Heceta Beach’s original neighborhoods. There’s no through‑traffic, no noise, and no one wandering past your windows — just calm, quiet, and the sound of the surf. A two‑minute wooded walk to the beach Instead of a long trek or a busy public access point, you get a short, charming trail through the trees that opens directly onto the sand. It’s close enough for spontaneous sunset walks, morning coffee strolls, and quick trips back for forgotten towels. A layout that works beautifully for families With two queen bedrooms, two sitting rooms with fold‑flat sofas, and a spacious family room at the back of the house, everyone can spread out. There are multiple places to gather and just as many places to retreat with a book or take a quiet nap. A family room designed for togetherness The oversized chairs, rocking chairs, and cozy seating make the back room a natural gathering spot. Guests love the peek of the ocean, the deck access, and the relaxed, lived‑in comfort that encourages long conversations and slow evenings. A dining area with an ocean glimpse Meals feel special here. From the dining table, you can see a slice of the Pacific — a small but meaningful reminder that the beach is just steps away. Thoughtful updates that preserve the cabin’s soul While the home has been modernized with new flooring, remodeled bathrooms, fresh paint, and updated appliances, every improvement was made with care. Nothing feels sterile or over‑renovated; it still feels like a beloved family cabin, just more comfortable. Parking flexibility for beach toys and trailers With parking in both the front and back, guests can bring small trailers, ATVs, or a boat — a rare convenience in this neighborhood. A place where guests return year after year Heceta Haven has a way of becoming part of people’s traditions. Many families come back because it feels familiar, easy, and welcoming — the kind of place where memories settle in and stay.
