Whether you are house hunting, leaf peeping, antiquing, discovering vineyards, visting family or friends, helping your child get settled at one of the local private schools, or simply want to get away for a few days , we would be happy to host you in our neck of the woods. We are less than 90 minutes from NYC. The Guest Room is located on the main level of the house, but is separated from the rest of the living space by two doors - making it very quiet and private. It has a Queen Bed with a Tempurpedic Mattress on a remotely controlled adjustable base, as well as an individually controlled A/C unit and overhead fan. The ensuite bathroom has a shower and a bidet. You are welcome to sit in the Great Room on the main level, outside on the flagstone patio, or by the pool. If you have younger children, they are welcome to use the swing set and the pool as long as they are supervised by you at all times. The sauna is on a different level of the house. You are welcome to use it - with advance notice - until 9pm. We are a homeschooling family who love meeting people and learning about different cultures. If you are inclined to share, we would love to listen. We do not offer use of our kitchen, but will treat you to breakfast. This typically consists of croissants, preserves, our own organic eggs, juice, and tea/coffee. We are fully set up to manage food preferences/sensitivities. Celebrating a special occasion? Please do let us know. We love to come up with creative ideas for surprises. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit in our general area. We've shared photos of a few and are happy to recommend more, upon request. You will need a car if you are going to take trips. Please be aware that you are coming to a rural area. There is a rooster in the neighbourhood - who likes to announce the break of day - and there are often deer milling about. We have 6 free range chickens, and ask that you drive slowly as you enter and exit the property..
