Perched on a hill top in Yucca Valley, our house is surrounded by ancient oaks, junipers, yuccas and Joshua trees, giving you 365 degree views of the entire high desert and starry night sky. Its close to Pappy & Harriets, Pioneertown if you're in the mood for live music, while also an ideal quiet retreat for writers, musicians and the creative mind. A drive to Joshua Tree National Park is only 15-20 minutes away. The retreat is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house sleeping 2-6. The Master bedroom has a new King bed, high thread-count linens, with a stunning view overlooking the valley. Our Guest bedroom has a new Queen bed, and enjoys a quiet view of our private outdoor area. Additional guests may sleep on the day bed in the TV lounge, while we've also provided an air mattress with extra linens and blankets located in the master hall closet. The kitchen is modernized with a stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, small stainless wine fridge, fully stocked with utensils, cutlery, etc, with ample space for meal preparation. Our indoor and outdoor dining tables seat 6. We feel the skylight in the kitchen adds a wonderful brightness to the space, making it a natural place to gravitate toward. A grand piano sits elegantly next to the TV lounge and antique furniture we've carefully chosen is throughout the space, which we feel adds a personal and unique touch to our home. A BBQ grill sits next to the outdoor dining patio for meals under the stars, while the jacuzzi lies not too far away and unobstructed from clear sunset and night sky views. There is a washer/dryer for those planning longer stays, central heat and AC keep things comfortable all year round and WiFi throughout. The TV is a smart TV (no cable) with a DVD player and (mostly children's) DVDs for entertainment. We have a whole cupboard of games for trivia and strategy enthusiasts that are fun played by the toasty, woodburning fireplace on chilly nights. Families with children and kids welcome! There is a surveillance camera at the entry of our home for safety. Your privacy is very important to us. We visit the retreat as often as we can and ensure it is very well maintained, however in general, we wont be able to greet you in person when you arrive. The house has 24hour access with a keyless entry, though we ask you call the day of arrival, at least 2 hours in advance, or before 10p, with an arrival time so that we may turn off the security alarm before you arrive. Uber/Lyft does exist in the high desert, although most people drive from airport or from their home city. I suggest you check hot tub temp and trim it to your liking upon arrival. Keep screens shut.
