Welcome to Stonecote Estate -- a Parklike Historic Estate in the Heart of Louisville featuring 7 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, gorgeous gardens and an inviting pool Stonecote is a 5-acre estate built in 1920. It is fully updated and professionally decorated. It has 7 bedrooms and sleeps 14 (this is the max limit) The main house features a gourmet kitchen with butler's pantry featuring 2 refrigerators, 2 wall ovens, 3 dishwashers, a Viking gas cook top, wine cooler and Carrera marble counters. The living room features a comfortable conversation area, an antique baby grand piano and wood-burning fireplace. The large dining room can accommodate your entire group. Also, the large sun room offers an additional, less formal gathering space, and has a 64" TV. The pool house features an additional full kitchen, seating area with 64" TV as well as another bedroom with ensuite bath. Pool is not heated but should be warm during the summer months. Stonecote is surrounded by beautiful, mature trees and perennial gardens, yet is 10 minutes to downtown, the waterfront, 10 minutes to Churchill Downs, 20 minutes to Valhalla and the PGA tour. Please observe "quiet hours" starting at 10pm every night to avoid disturbing neighbors. Also note that due to requirements by the city of Louisville and neighborhood restrictions, we are unable to host events of any kind (please do not book if you are a wedding party, bachelor or bachelorette party). The house is accessible only to the group staying there — no outside guests will be permitted. City of Louisville Transient Room Tax (8.5% per stay) is included in base rates. Website collects additional state tax. PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DERBY BOOKING: The rate for the Kentucky Derby is a flat fee of $30,000. If you submit an inquiry for Derby week, it will be edited to reflect this fee. You are welcome to arrive any day during Derby week (departure is expected to be on Sunday after Derby). We encourage you to arrive early and take advantage of all there is to do in Kentucky this week! Please send an inquiry if interested in the rental of Stonecote for the week of the Derby. When you rent Stonecote, you are renting the entire house + pool house. Upon arrival, one of the owners will meet you to show you around the house/property. We will wear masks and remain socially distanced, but we do like to meet the groups staying at the house. It should be noted that we also live next door, so we are close when/if needed during your stay. Lyft and Uber are wonderful options while in Louisville. We are 10 minutes from downtown, and just 5 minutes from the Highlands and Bardstown Road. On a nice day, it's feasible to walk through the park to several great restaurants.
