This is a horse ranch in the foothills of El Dorado county, with a loft studio above the barn. It is comfortably furnished and has a true country feel! The barn and loft is very private & easy to socially distance if preferred. This lovely loft is available to rent year round. Be surrounded by nature and enjoy hiking, rafting, swimming, biking! Come and enjoy all this area has to offer! The space This property is bordered by BLM land on the right (where you may see cows wandering up to the fence), and horses grazing in pastures on the left. From the back deck, you can see the snow caps of the Sierra Nevada mountains and look over an old Gold Rush era cemetery!! Feel free to walk around and visit with the animals on the ranch! We keep goat snacks downstairs in the barn for you to feed to the goats and hens. Great location for walks as my street dead ends onto the Cronin Ranch trailhead. If you just want a solitude and quiet escape, this is the place! There is a big comfy chair, great internet and a lap desk for your laptop or tablet! For the more adventurous there are many things to do and see, including white water river rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking, horse back riding, wine tasting and visiting Gold Rush towns are just a few things to do. Must be able to climb stairs to access this barn loft. Best suited for a single person or couple with a comfy queen bed. Also have a single roll away bed available if there is a 3rd person. Children are welcome, but there are stairs, so keep them safe! I do have a baby gate, floor mat for the littles and pack n play if needed. Guest access The barn loft, 2 paddocks and 1 stall are available to guests if they choose to bring their horses. Don’t hesitate to message me, if you’d like to bring horses! There is space to park one rig, or bring your boat, kayaks or bicycles!! Olmstead and Western States Trail system is 4 miles from here. Cronin Ranch trail system with the first staging area is 1 mile away, at the end of my street and another larger "Magnolia" staging area is about 4 miles away. Close by river access from both of these Cronin ranch staging areas, as well as along Hwy 49 between Pilot Hill and Coloma. The trails are perfect for riding, biking and hiking! There is a shared pool behind owners home with side entry gate for you to enjoy from May until October. There are lounge chairs and table and chairs with several umbrellas for those that want to be in the shade. I am happy to give you your privacy at the pool! We also have a summer garden and you're welcome to stroll through and pick some organic veggies for your dinner. I’m located half way between the quaint towns of Placerville and Auburn where you can find dining, shopping and antiquing. You are 10 minutes from the Gold Rush town of Coloma and 5 minutes to Cool CA where you can find some restaurants, a nice coffee place and a grocery store. Folsom lake is about 30-40 minutes away also where you can book trail rides. A favorite in the fall is Apple Hill where you can tour apple orchard ranches and stock up on apples, holiday pies and other goodies while enjoying the beautiful scenery. If you like wine there are several great El Dorado county wineries to taste and tour! Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake are other easy drives and worth visiting to take in the beautiful world known Sierra Nevada Mountain range! Other things to note If you wish to bring your horse, I can accommodate 2 horses and have parking for one rig. I'm happy to feed for you if you want to take off for a day and explore or head up to Lake Tahoe or Donner Lake. There are 2 guest paddocks and one stall.
