This newly renovated, spacious, rustic apartment with full kitchen is located in a barn on a historic coastal Maine farm. It is a 5-10 minute walk to nearby scenic Morgan Bay and easy access to hiking, biking, kayaking, and swimming. It is about 50 minute drive to Acadia National Park. We now provide contactless check-in! Contact host to make arrangements. We are surrounded by the beauty of Acadia National Park with striking vistas of Cadillac Mountain. We are also about five minutes walking distance to Morgan Bay and the Carter Nature Preserve trail along the ocean. Farther along Cross Road on the left are the Furth and Talalay Trails to our local wetlands. All of these trails provide an abundance of wildlife for the avid birder and wildlife lover. This is a large apartment with great views, a deck and grill. There is a fine king sized bed and a futon couch. Up to six people have stayed in the past using a queen sized air mattress or twin air mattresses. Please note there is an additional fee of $20 per guest, per night after the first two guests. It is a quiet and secluded property, surrounded by nature, with gorgeous views, only a 5-minute walk to the Bay, and the stars glitter like fireworks on the clear nights. We often have concerts every week throughout Spring, Summer and Fall, and you will have free admission to every concert showing while you are staying at Surry Arts and Events. Feel free to ask about our schedule while choosing your booking dates if you’d like to catch a performance in the Barn. The Apartment is located on an old Maine farm consisting of seven buildings. Perhaps the centerpiece of the complex is a performance arts program in an old Maine Barn. It features a Steinway Grand Piano, excellent acoustics, and an intimate rustic setting. Our season usually runs from some point in late May to some point in early October. In recent years we’ve had thirty plus concerts in a season. We invite you to join us at any available concerts during your stay, admission free to guests. Please let us know at the door you are a guest to receive your free admission. Other things to note This apartment is located on an old Maine farm with lovely view and nearby access to the bay, ocean, nature trails, wetland preserves, a special Buddhist meditation center and more. The apartment is rustic, large and is finished in a rustic homey manner. Attractive to families, hikers, bikers and outdoor types.
