Description
Enjoy all that Asheville has to offer with a beautiful riverfront setting and convenience to downtown Asheville, Weaverville and Marshall. This historic 1940s rock cottage was updated in 2017 with modern amenities for a bright, cheerful vacation getaway. Enjoy the beautiful French Broad River while sitting around the fire pit, relaxing on the back decks, or accessing the river from the backyard. A detailed description of the interior, outdoor space, and local activities is provided below. The space This property sits on the shores of the French Broad River, one of the oldest rivers in the world, and once was part of a stagecoach station along the historic Drovers Road. The charming cottage offers both charm and modern amenities. The living room features a flat screen TV, a leather couch, down-stuffed arm chairs, and a warm gas log fireplace for evenings in. The kitchen has been updated with modern appliances and nicely furnished with cooking tools. On the main floor are two of the bedrooms, the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the river, a bedroom with two twin beds, and a half bath in the hallway. Upstairs has a full hallway bathroom with a walk-in shower and the two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a twin and trundle. You may never want to be inside! Outdoors you have plenty of space to enjoy the river frontage - a yard with a fire pit and seating, river access, a picnic table, a deck off of the kitchen, a balcony off of the master bedroom, and a gas grill. You will never be at a loss for things to do! Shop and dine in dynamic downtown Asheville, relax on the upstairs deck overlooking the river, visit the Biltmore Estate, tube the river with a local outfitter, hike to overlooks or waterfalls, play lawn games by the river, visit the quaint bakeries and coffee shops in downtown Weaverville, roast marshmallows in the fire-pit. I am happy to help with recommendations. The location of this house is perfect for those who want easy access to downtown but also want to experience the beautiful outdoors. You are a quick and easy 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville (mostly freeway), 5 minutes to I-26, 10 minutes to downtown Weaverville, and 15 minutes to Marshall. Publix, Walmart, an ABC Store, CVS, and a busy (small town) business district are within a 5 minute Please note that we have the fastest satellite internet service available in the river valley, with the largest data package available. However, this is not as fast as the high speeds we are used to in town and does not allow for streaming video or gaming. Hopefully you will enjoy the break from the high-speed world!
