River Gem is a new 3 season cabin that was been completely renovated in 2017/18. Enjoy all the modern comforts in a charming cabin right on the Apple River Flowage . This 2 bedroom, one bath cabin sits on the bank of the Apple River. It has full kitchen, w/d, and heat/air. Sit on the patio and listen to the loons or watch for the bald eagle, go fishing off the dock, kayaking, canoeing , or take the paddle boat out on the river. The cabin is for registered guests only. The space A recent guest wrote: "Peaceful and Serene My husband and I recently stayed at River Gem for a long weekend in late August. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the wide Apple River near Amery. The cabin was easy to find, just a block off the main highway. So convenient to everything we wanted to do or see. The cabin is well-equipped with everything we needed and then some, comfortable chairs and sofa in the living area, Directv with music channels, nice kitchen, and an inviting outdoor sitting area. We spent several peaceful days here unwinding, and relaxing!! We took a boat ride into Amery on Saturday morning to the local farmers market and stocked up on fresh food and bakery items. A couple of afternoons we read books while enjoying a lovely glass of wine with the local bald eagle flying overhead. Multiple good restaurants within 10 minutes of the cabin, LOVED Pure and Simple (delicious Sunday chicken dinner like my mother in law used to make!!) Our hosts were friendly and accommodating, we will certainly be back for a return stay!" Nancy Other things to note In light of covid-19, we are taking extra precautions to provide a clean and safe environment for our renters. Our property is cleaned by a professional cleaning company . Our house is thoroughly cleaned and surfaces are disinfected. We are also removing those "extra touches" from the house to minimize items that are handled or need to be sanitized. ( comforters on the bed, no throw pillows or blankets on the couches, fewer books and games out etc.) We are also scheduling rental check ins 24 hours after the last departure to provide extra time to accomplish this. When renting the house , you agree to abide by the Polk County Rooming House ordinances that will be in the short term rental agreement we ask all renters to sign and that all activities on or in the water are at your own risk. Polk County Lic limits us to having a maximum of 4 people on the property regardless of age.
