RedSmith Ranch is located on a hilltop in the midst of hundreds of acres of rolling vineyards, where the California wine country meets the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Parties or events not allowed The space The Ranch The retreat is a stunning 7,500 sq. ft. Early Spanish California-style home that we are just finishing restoring to give visitors a refined Rustic Modern comfort. The design characteristics are authentic; handmade clay floor tiles, true hand troweled interior plaster walls, wood beamed ceilings throughout, large stone fireplaces, hand hue 2-1/2” thick oak doors with heavy brass door handles, the architecture has much to appreciate. We have decorated with original mid-century art and furnishings. The spacious common areas open to the outdoors with large windows and oak framed glass doors in full view of garden patios and fountains around the perimeter of the house. This house was designed for entertaining with 16’ x 33’ living room and 19’ x 28 ‘ family room that both open to two separate beautiful wood carved bar rooms. Spacious fully set up Gourmet chefs’ kitchen, large dining room with hardwood table that seats 12. Kitchen dining table seats 8. The master suite, kids bedroom, full bath and half bath are on the first floor Four bedrooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms are on the second floor with two access stairways. Two Bedrooms off the gardens, Sleeps 16. In our renovation we upgraded to become a “Smart House” with high speed internet everywhere on site. Sound system has three zones; inside, front and back with total of 28 speakers to enjoy your favorite music on Pandora. The Site The homestead, in the middle of hundreds of vineyard acres, is surrounded by 4 acres of mature trees, lawns, gardens, and patios with fountains. A spectacular private experience! The Swimming pool is a great place to refresh during the warm summer months. Onsite bird population is in the hundreds. There are eight separate patio areas all with different views, character and seating arraignments. Large areas for lawn games and meandering. Outdoor covered game area with ping pong, darts, card table. Vibrant rose garden that you are welcome to practice your pruning skills? This winter we will be planting our vegetable garden for your use and pleasure while visiting. Vineyard side bocce ball court will be completed in late spring. Kids will love putting down their phones and running around this property playing games, climbing trees, hunting for bugs, swinging on ropes, sleeping outside under the stars. Fun stuff kids don’t get a lot of in the city. At night the skies are clear, and stars are bright. Big fun at the outdoor fireplace.
