Beautiful beachfront home at Sandy Point Shores, close to Bellingham, WA and Vancouver, BC. Sandy Point Shores is a small beachfront community that boasts incredible sunrises over Mt. Baker and sunsets that could mirror those of the Hawaiian islands. With direct seasonaloceanfront access from the house, enjoy sounds and smells from the Puget Sound, passing ships, orca whales, blue heron and bald eagles flying overhead. Relax inside or outside on the large deck which overlooks Sucia, Matia, Patos and Orcas Islands. The main house offers two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other a queen bed), a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, kitchen, living and dining room areas. The living room offers a large flat screen TV and plenty of comfortable seating. The house has large windows that overlook the outdoor deck and ocean so you never get to miss the view. UNAVAILABLE DECEMBER 1, 2024 to END of JANUARY 2025 are the two additional bedrooms (one king one queen beds and a ¾ bath) are located in the detached garage, just steps away from the main house for a more privacy for the kids or a second family. Due to the kings tide and flooding each of the last two winters, we've deemed it necessary to shut these rooms down as we are out of area during this time and won't be able to monitor the status of the detached rooms Enjoy walking up and down the beach, turning over rocks and looking for crabs, two single person kayaks and bicycles as well as a number of day trip activities. Birch Bay, Lynden and Ferndale are all in close proximity for a day trip if you are looking to get out of the house. There are also many farms that you can go to and buy fresh produce, fruit, artisan cheese and fish. Don’t forget your passport as the Canadian Border is also just a short trip away.
