We are located about 1 hr. from Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park, 2 hrs. from Yellowstone, and 20 min. from Grand Targhee Ski Resort. We provide a free continental breakfast guests can prepare such as bagels, bread, hot & cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, pancake mix, coffee, tea, etc. Please note: No smoking or drinking allowed on property! The space Important, please read! This room is located in a nice open basement. It is normally a shared dorm room (I have two) but when no one has booked a bed in one of them I will open one up as a private room. It has 3 sets of bunk beds and shares two bathrooms with other guests. I have also recently added two extra showers separate from the bathrooms. There is also another dorm room in the basement and two private rooms on the second floor. This room is located in my home and I and one or more of my sons live here therefore it has the feel of a typical home so may have personal items left out here and there. We do our best to keep the home clean and tidy but since I rent out four rooms it is impossible to always clean up after a guest who may not be so clean and tidy. But most are!!! :) There are a few pets on the property. Our wonderful Great Dane (a BIG dog) named Dirk. We also have a small tortoise, bearded dragon lizard and fish all in tanks. Guest access Our beautiful lodge style log home, called Teton Hostel Hideaway, is situated on 13 acres mostly hidden from all other homes and surrounded by farmland. The home has many covered porches and a patio with tables and a barbeque grill. Guests can mingle in the TV/game room to watch TV and play pool and ping pong. Guests can relax in the great room and enjoy the warmth of the fire & the beautiful view of the mountains. Guests are also welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals. A fridge is provided for their use. Guests can also do laundry here for $4 a load. During your stay I live on the property so will be reasonably available. I do have another property near Yellowstone that I go to sometimes but I or my assistant will usually be available by phone or messaging. Other things to note We have quiet hours between 10:30 PM and 6:30 AM. Guests cannot use the kitchen, play pool/ping pong or watch TV in the game room during this time. Breakfast is free but If you want a snack or to take some food for lunch there is a price list posted in the kitchen and a money jar on the counter. You can do laundry in the afternoon or evenings between 4 PM and 8 PM for $4 per load. If you use your own soap it must be HE type soap.
