This beautiful cottage is located 7 minutes from two of the best beaches in the area, near walking trails and less than 10 minutes from New Buffalo and Michigan City. This home features 3 large bedrooms, newly finished basement with an additional queen pull out bed, 2 new bathrooms, new kitchen, a huge backyard with a fire pit, and a welcoming open floor plan. Stop 37 and 38 beaches are a 7 minute walk away Min 4-night booking June-Aug, 3 nights the rest of the year Our home is bright and airy, cozy yet open, & newly furnished and renovated. There are beds for 8-9 people (plus one pack and play for babies), 2 bathrooms, and a basement playroom for kids. We also have plenty of beach toys, towels, board games, books, and outdoor games. The whole house is yours, we just lock one closet and keep our personal things in there. We will be available by phone at any time, and also have local helpers who can be there in less than an hour if you need any help. The shore towns along Lake Michigan are hidden gems. Michiana Shores is a quaint, wooded area nestled between Michigan City (5 minute drive) and New Buffalo (10 minute drive). The beaches and water are pristine, there are tons of parks and trails, and you are a short drive away from breweries, shops, restaurants, antique stores, vineyards, casinos, outlet malls, and more! Our home is a 6-min walk to Lakeshore Dr. and the beach, a 2-minute walk to a park with a playground and tennis court, and there are walking trails right behind our home along a creek. Red Arrow Stables is 0.6 miles from our home, and offers horse and pony rides. **2022 update: Lake Michigan water levels have been at historic highs in recent years, meaning the beaches are smaller and vary in size each year based on how warm the winter before was. We cannot promise that there will be beach access walking-distance from our cottage, but will update this as we get closer to summer. Last year beaches were a good size!** The South Shore Train and Amtrak both stop in towns nearby, and are great public transportation options from Chicago. We have everything you need for the beach, bbq, and kids. Double stroller, bikes, SUP, and tons of kid books, toys, and beach gear.
