Depending on the season, the way in which Viewpoint is situated provides amazing sunrises in the East and sunsets to the West. (For additional cost), we also rent a seasonal Red Cabin (see pictures) that sleeps two (queen bed). For the privacy of our guests, this smaller cabin is only available to guests also renting the main (Viewpoint) house. The eight enormous windows in the living room, dining room, and kitchen—which feature a wood-burning fireplace and stunning wood, leather, and hide furniture and rugs—let ton of light in, along with sweeping views of the glittering Lake Superior. The northernmost option on this list, you'll find this four-bedroom home is about two hours north of Duluth, Minnesota. With wood paneling throughout, ultra-cozy bedrooms, and a collection of records we are dying to leaf through, it's a no-brainer—even if the lake isn't accessible right off the back porch (there's a pretty steep cliff face).
