The Yellow Door Carriage House

This open-plan Carriage House is filled with modern finishes and a spa-feel bathroom that can't be found everywhere. It is located on quiet, safe Talahi Island; a perfect location between exciting Tybee & downtown historic Savannah, only 7 miles either way. The space The carriage house is located in the back of the lot where our home is. It is halfway between charming Historic Downtown Savannah and the fun beaches of Tybee Island, about 10 minute drive either way. You will need a vehicle, Uber, Lyft or taxi. This is not within walking distance of businesses, in a short drive you will find grocery stores, pharmacies, bars and restaurants for your convenience. On our tranquil neighborhood island, you can ride your bike or go on a stroll safely and secure, away from major traffic interference. We are pleased to say this is a gay friendly, smoke-free, two-story, turned into a one-story 15ft ceiling space, custom built home by one of the island's developers back in the 1970's, however, completely renovated down to studs. In the loft feel like Carriage house there is a Full Size bed, and a sleeper sofa that sleeps one. There is an utility kitchen with basic modern conveniences, such as a compact refrigerator, a Keurig coffee machine, and a microwave - basic kitchen utensils provided as well - no stove or oven. The spa feel bathroom has a large tiled walk in shower, and an oversized vanity counter. Just outside the door there's a patio with furniture on the grassy back yard, which is partially fenced in. As a reminder this is a non-smoking home. This also includes vapors, e-cigs., marijuana, and the like. If you smoke in here there is a $400 cleaning fee. Do not smoke on property and throw your butts on our lawn or flower beds. There is a smokers ash tray on the patio. Note: It is not handicap accessible and not child proof. Expect to drive, uber or use taxi in and out; we're in an island and a short drive for your conveniences. PETS: Well behaved non-shedding dogs are welcome (for a non refundable fee per stay), however, you MUST let us know breed, and if it sheds, prior to finalizing your booking. Dogs MUST be potty trained and are not allowed off the leash in the back yard. If you bring a dog which sheds you are breaking house rules and will be charged $150 for additional cleaning up dog fur. Dogs under 25 pounds permitted. Pure or mixed husky, chow, lab, or German shepherd are not allowed - or other breeds that shed. These dogs are not permitted due to the amount of shedding they do. Aggressive dog breeds, such as pit bull, are not allowed. If you have one of these breeds, we reserve the right to have your reservation cancelled. It is very unfortunate we have to have these stipulations, but we have had serious issues with these breeds. Cats are not allowed. We do have video surveillance/security at the gate to the backyard of the property and on the front of the main house and they are always recording. It records the entire time of your stay. We have it because some guests try to bring more people onto the property. This is not a home for parties or events of any kind. Only the number of people listed in the reservation are permitted on the property or in the house. Failure to comply will result in your reservation being cancelled. We do not allow guests to bring guests or visitors. Chatham County, GA requires us to include the license number of this Short Term Rental in the advertisement of this property. It is OTC-22907. The place is not child proof. You will need to do that. If you bring a shedding pet there is a $150 additional cleaning fee. The home is on a septic tank system, only natural waste and TP are permitted. There is a heat pump mini split to heat and cool the space.
