Welcome to Log Bear Den, one of two private accommodations at Dancing Pines Retreat in the beautiful Avon Hills of Central Minnesota. Leave the rush of the world behind! The space •This 4800 square foot full log home, consists of the owner’s private suite and 2 rental spaces with private entrances. Tucked beneath towering dancing pines and surrounded by a variety of mature trees, Log Bear Den has its own private entrance and offers a peaceful place to rest, reconnect, and unwind. While enjoying your morning coffee, you may spot deer, fox, wood ducks, mallards, blue herons, eagles, hawks, songbirds, bunnies, and turtles sunning themselves on the pond rocks. Above it all, the gentle swaying of the towering dancing pines, the soft rustling of the surrounding trees, and the soothing splash of the pond fountain create a peaceful soundtrack to your stay. Many guests tell us they begin to relax almost immediately after settling in, and we hope you'll enjoy feeling rested, refreshed, and renewed. Privacy is one of the things guests appreciate most. While we share the same log home, your accommodation has its own private entrance, outdoor living area, and designated parking. We value your privacy and want you to feel completely at home throughout your stay. One level, 36” doorways, walker accessible, with bathroom grab bars. Other things to note •PEOPLE: Prices listed are for up to 2 guests. Each guest after 2 will be charged an additional $30 per night. •PETS: We are no longer accepting pets in this space. (Please inquire if you’ve stayed with us in the past). Our Dancing Pines Suite on the upper level still welcomes your groomed and trained pups. Contact us with any questions please. We have a resident dog and shop cat: •Winnie is 12yrs and only weighs 6.5 pounds, but 5 lbs of that is her sweet heart! She is very friendly and sometimes a little too curious about meeting new people. She goes outside a few times a day, but is primarily a house dog. Please DO NOT feed her. She has had pancreatic issues and could get very, very sick from treats. •Lonley Kitty adopted us in the fall of 2024. She has since taken over our hearts and Jim’s wood shop! You may see her guarding the property from her perch in one of the windows that face the driveway from the windows above the detached garage. She casually roams the grounds to keep it free of pests. She too is friendly (but sometimes shy). PETS: We are no longer accepting pets in this space. (Please inquire if you’ve stayed with us in the past).
