Thanks for supporting local!* *Ask us about summer discounts for 1 to 4 week stays* The house is located on 3 acres of land at the foot of the hill bordering Joshua Tree hills. It is recently renovated, modern with mid-century and rustic touches and beautiful concrete floors and large windows throughout. There are 2 king bedrooms with luxurious king mattresses, so there is no need to fight over who gets the king bedroom! Each room has large closets, hypoallergenic comforters and pillows, and room darkening curtains for sleepers that require darkness. For additional guests there is a queen bed -- a real bed, not a pull out couch -- in the garage lounge/gameroom. Oh... did I mention the garage lounge? We converted the garage into a lounge/game room with a vintage pool table, large comfy sectional, and 55 inc Roku Smart TV (Netflix, HBO, AmazonPrime, etc) with DVD player. There is a large wrap-around patio with several outdoor areas with plenty of seating for lounging, dining, stargazing and taking in the famous Joshua Tree sunsets and sunrises. Some are covered in case of rain, and others are open under the stars. There is an outdoor dining area for 6 and a BBQ for grilling. There is an uncovered 6 person outdoor hot tub with panoramic views of the mountains... perfect for unwinding after a day in the park under the legendary Joshua Tree night sky. You will have access to the entire house and property, except for a few locked closets. We will be available by phone and email and live nearby in case of emergencies. The door has a key pad lock, and you will be sent a unique guest door code that is valid for the duration of your stay. Joshua Tree is truly a magical place, and it isn't hard to see why artists, musicians, and nature enthusiasts flock here to find inspiration, creativity and spirituality. We will be happy to offer suggestions for your trip! The house is located in the Upper Friendly Hills neighborhood of Joshua Tree in the hills that border the national park. It is 6 miles from the park entrance, and 3 miles to downtown Joshua Tree. You will need a car. Uber and Lyft are sporadic and unreliable. Some taxi service is available with prior arrangements. Some delivery services are now available - Instacart, Grub Hub and DoorDash are available on a limited basis, but plan ahead, as most restaurants are closed by 8-9pm. * The maximum number of guests our permit allows is 5. Not 7. Not 8. Bringing more than 5 will cause you to forfeit your deposit. * The house is NOT a party house! It is is for rest and relaxation. If beer pong is in your plans for the weekend, this is not the house for you. * The house is private, but it is in a neighborhood and noise travels quickly in the the thin desert air, so we ask that you respect our neighbors, do not play music outside, and respect quiet time after 9:30pm * There are 1.5 bathrooms so only 1 full bathroom. However the full bathroom has 2 SHOWERS IN IT (a standalone shower and tub with shower). This adds some shower efficiency for couples. * The TV does not have regular channels or cable. There is a DVD player, and a ROKU, with streaming channels provided. We do not guarantee that accounts will be logged in when you arrive, so guests are free to use their own streaming subscriptions.
