Loon Lake Getaway
Welcome to the Lake! Our gorgeous and spacious private home sits on the shores of Loon Lake, on a plot that's been in our family for 100 years. 40 min NW of Green Bay, the lake is big enough for waterskiing and sailing, but never gets too wavy--ideal for kayaking and fishing. Water is warm, the bottom is sandy and weeds are minimal. Great for summer and off-season rental (fall colors, Packer games, polar bear swims for the brave)! Only 2 night minimum in off-season & reduced rates. Our lake house has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. A large bunk room upstairs sleeps 5: 2 bunks and a single bed. Great for kids! The second is a suite, with 2 queen beds and an attached bathroom (shower/toilet). A second bathroom with a brand new 6 foot soaker tub/shower is also on the upstairs floor. Downstairs, you’ll find a large lake front bedroom with a king sized bed. The second and smaller bedroom offers a queen sized bed, plus a single that is tucked away in a nook, making it a great room for parents to share with toddler who wants to stay close. The downstairs bathroom is complete with 2 sinks and shower/toilet. Porches on both levels are completely weather proof with lots of seating. Our house is unique with a fully equipped kitchen on each floor. Enjoy your BBQ on the lakeside lawn (2 gas grills and portable tables/chairs and picnic table provided) and use the downstairs kitchen for easy clean up. Or, enjoy the bird’s eye view of the lake and creek from the upper kitchen. Dishwashers on both levels means no need to haul dishes. Each floor has a large living space, equipped with a 4K smart TV and dining area. A brand new and very large h.e. washer and dryer are provided on first floor. Enjoy the serenity of the water and amazing sunsets from our private dock. We currently provide a two seat canoe, a 4 person paddle boat, 2 open kayaks, and a four seat alumacraft rowboat ( no electric/gas motor allowed on it). Bring or rent a boat and enjoy great fishing, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, and canoeing around Loon Lake island. Be sure to watch for the eagles, osprey, and loons. If your boat is small, take an adventure down the creek in the backyard. A 30 minute canoe or kayak will get you to Washington Lake and then on to Shawano Lake. If you’re feeling courageous you can get all the way to the Wolf River! No boat? No worries. Fishing along the creek is good and bass and bluegills are known to hide in the shoreline and under the dock. If you do bring or rent a boat it will have to be moored or tied to the posts away form the dock and must wade in the water to tie and untie it. Don’t forget the s’mores! There’s a fire pit for campfires, sandbox with toys for the kiddos, and hammocks for the lazy. The Loon Lake Getaway has everything you need to make your vacation relaxing and enjoyable. Every season captures it’s own beauty. Book your getaway now. There are a few locked closets and no access to the garage. Otherwise the whole house is yours to use. Our manager Peggy lives minutes away in case problems arise. She will be there to greet and orient you to the property. Make sure you reach out and call her the night before you plan to leave and again when you are en route so she can time her arrival with yours. You need to book first before Airbnb will give you access to her number listed on our website page.
