The ideal isolated escape ! Perfect to déconnect, rest and recharge. Nestled in the Haut Languedoc Park between the Southern town of Castres (40 minutes) and world heritage site of Albi (50 minutes) this cosy cottage is hidden away in the beautiful and largely undiscovered Vallée de Gijou. As an ex-restaurateur I can provide breakfast, lunches, picnics and dinners on order. The space The old historic bread oven has been restored with care and respect, recycling and incorporating reclaimed materials where possible. The bed, window sills and the table top are made from old beams and recovered planking. Homemade spiced roasted peanuts and biscotti biscuits accompany the Nespresso machine and milk frother and tea making facilities - coffee pods, loose leaf Assam and a range of teas are all provided. Installed are two télévisions with Amazon Prime and Netflix. Be sure of a good nights sleep with the sprung and memory foam mattress combination and anti-allergy down effect duvet. The shower has a large 90cm cabin with Grohe thermostatic shower and a heated towel rail. If you are fortunate enough to visit during the colder, but equally beautiful months you can cosy up beside the wood burning stove with a supply of wood to keep toasty! Because you are here to relax and recharge your batteries, massage and other treatments are also available to book, prices from 20€ for 30 minutes massage. Accredited Aromatherapist, Swedish Masseur, Sports Injury Masseur and Beauty Therapist. Guest access Private entrance and use of the back garden. Other things to note The property is offered as self catering, but full board is available. You can dine in the garden or in the colder months by the fire in the tiny house. I prepare all meals from fresh, special dietary requirements are not usually a problem. Breakfast is 10€ per person. (Homemade bread, pastries/cakes, granola and yoghurt, jam, fruit, juice, tea and coffee or hot Chocolate) Lunches are 25€ per person (main course and dessert with a glass of wine and coffee) picnics are 25€ and feed two people. Dinner 35€ per person (3 courses and an amuse bouche, with a glass of wine served with each course)
