Beautiful Cotswold cottage (~1hr London Padd.)

We are offering our much loved family home on Airbnb for 4 weeks this summer - a beautiful, traditional, stone built 17th Century cottage in Kemble near Cirencester. We can see the church spire from the kitchen so we are in right in the heart of the village which has a pub, shop and the Thames Path …. plus it is only a 10 minute walk to the station (London Paddington 70 minutes) and 10 minutes' drive to Tetbury, Cirencester or Malmesbury, all beautiful market towns with cafes and shops. The space There are two living rooms, with a log burner in each, 3 double bedrooms (one en suite), and a beautiful cottage garden with table and chairs, 2 sun loungers, apple trees and wisteria. A river runs through the village which has been identified as the source of the River Thames. There are numerous beautiful country walks nearby whilst good country pubs are plentiful, and we can offer lots of recommendations for combining these with walks of various lengths. Close by is Cirencester, with its 5 mile park, still privately owned by the Bathurst family, but open to the public. Try to catch a polo match on a Sunday in the park – take a picnic! Also in Cirencester are Waitrose, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi. Within a 10 minutes’ drive, you can visit Tetbury, with its ancient market house, antique shops, cafes and royal connections. Also close by is Malmesbury, with a glorious ancient Abbey (check out concerts) and famous Abbey gardens. And – if this is not enough – a 5 minutes’ drive away is the Cotswold Water Park with walks, cycling paths and restaurants plus Lake 32 with its cold water swimming. Internet connection has always been excellent and we have both worked from home during the last 2 years without any issues. Two of the bedrooms have desks. There is parking for one car on the property and abundant roadside parking next to the property. Guest access Downstairs is a large living/dining room, with beams and wood burner with a dining table, seating 8 people. This is followed by a comfortable sitting room and then a hallway with plenty of storage for coats and prams plus the downstairs loo. The kitchen has a double oven, hob, microwave, and a round breakfast table and is partially open onto the living/dining room. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double height ceiling with dramatic beams, a king size bed and en suite bathroom. There is one further large double bedroom with views down the lane to the church and one small double, both with desks. There is also a large shower room shared by these two bedrooms. Fibre optic internet with great connection. Outside is a sunny, private and pretty garden with a table and chairs, barbecue and patio. It is a wonderful place for summer lunches and sundowners. There is parking for one car on the property and abundant roadside parking next to the property. Other things to note Please note, this is not a permanent holiday let but a family home that is being shared on AirBnB whilst we are away. It will have been set up for holiday use. Please feel free to contact us if the weekly lets or days listed are not suitable for you. Rentals will need to be at least one week long and the changeover days have to work for our lovely cleaner!
