Our delightful little 2 bedroom cottage is tucked in next to a bridle path in a conservation area, right on the very edge of the South Downs. Set the in the village of South Heighton, just 2 minutes from the A26 Lewes road, and a 5 minute drive from the port of Newhaven and the local train station, with direct trains to London. Step out the back door and you are on the South Downs, with an amazing selection of stunning footpaths to choose from. The perfect home base for hikers and dog walkers. The space The house is ancient, but beautifully renovated in 2021 for spring 2022. The kitchen gives out into a little secluded courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast under the trees. The large front room is beautifully decorated in panelled wood, with oak flooring. Plenty of lounging space in front of the TV for relaxing after your walk. Trundle up the wooden stairs when its time for bed, two cosy bedrooms await, both equipped with double beds. One with a large balcony overlooking the courtyard, with a table and chairs to enjoy a little apero, should the urge take you. There is a very cool child's bunk too, built over the stairwell. The huge sofa can be used as a bed. The main bedroom has windows overlooking the cornfield, where the sun rises, and has a window seat built in. Both bedrooms have sinks in the windows. The bathroom is equipped with a large bath and gas central heating ensures you'll never run out of hot water. Guest access All areas of the house are accessible Other things to note There is a parking spot just past the house. It's kind of a jungle area and reversing down the lane can be tricky. The lane is very uneven, its just a chalk path. So if you're worried about your car you might prefer to park up the road near to the pub
