The home has a private kitchen (oven, fridge, cooktop, microwave, coffee-maker), private bathroom with shower, two bedrooms, a living room with single daybed, and a private deck facing lake. Lake view - this cabin is right above the lake. Each bedroom sleeps two, plus an additional person can sleep on the daybed in the living room. Guests are able to utilize the entire property which consists of many acres of open meadows, a lake with paddle boats and a floating dock, games, and books. We encourage you to explore the mountain area or take a hike during your down time! This mountain property has been in the Spangler family since 1976. It was an active Bed and Breakfast for 10 years. The owners, Harold and Trudy Spangler, were from Greensboro, N.C., where Harold worked as a pediatrician for 30 years. They both retired to be a mountain couple, and decided host a B&B. Their 5 children and 13 grandchildren have their fondest memories of sleeping, playing, and passing cool summer days and evenings on the lawn and in the houses. This property is right on the Blue Ridge Parkway, close to Roanoke, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, and many historic sites, including Mabry Mill. Floyd, Galax, Abingdon (Barter Theater), Fancy Gap, and Chateau Morrisette; all are close by for adventure and special events. Guests are able to access the entire property, including the meadows, trails, lawn games, lake, and Old Log Cabin game room, but may need to share with guests in the farm house. Our property is quiet and secluded, located a stone's throw from milepost 180 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a 5-minute drive to the town center. Dogs are welcome but please advise that you are bringing them so a fee can be applied appropriately, must be kept on leash and waste picked up promptly, especially if other guests are on the property.
