A large part of the landscape is characterized by dense vegetation. Numerous perennial creeks and streams crisscross the area The space Each cottage has been stylishly hand-crafted and designed, using simple, locally made bespoke furniture, vintage pieces from Mumbai, and traditional woven ikat fabrics from Rajasthan. We have six double cottages and one larger cottage to accommodate families, all with an ensuite bathroom, AC, fridge, and minibar. There is a small restaurant on site serving delicious food and beverages. Our double cottages have been designed for two people, however, children are welcome and can stay in the same bed for free, or we can provide an additional single bed at an extra charge of Rs.1000 per night. We offer complimentary breakfast for two adults plus any accompanying children. Guest access Walking into Pangot is like stepping into a fairytale village. Tucked away within the Kumaon hills, with magical forests echoing the songs of hundreds of colourful birds and little trails that disappear into sunlit glades, that’s Pangot for you. A birdwatcher’s paradise, Pangot is 15 kms from Nainital and the drive is through the bird habitats of Cheena Peak range forests via Snow View Point and Kilbury. Numerous bird species have been recorded at Pangot and its surrounding areas. Life in Pangot is so quiet and unhurried that the most exciting activity is a trip to the small, quaint village market. The tea-stalls where villagers meet up is a good place to catch up with local life and spend hours doing nothing but being an observer of ‘life passing by’.
