Before we arrived Louis emailed me with a map of queens with directions to the apartment. The day we arrived our flight was really delayed and we arrived really late but Louis was great and waited up for us to give directions and let us in. The apartment was great. It was really warm and homely and instantly felt like home! The bedroom was really big and light with a really comfy bed. Its in a really convenient location, Jackson heights subway is less that a 5 minute walk along a busy street, and there are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants close by. Louis and Maria told us about a Thai Restaurant which we tried and loved and ended up going back 3/4 times. There are several supermarkets close by. Louis and Maria were such amazing hosts. Louis gave us a map and marked on all the New York hotspots for us and gave us lots of good tips on where to eat and go in NYC, including tell us what days the attractions are free! We wouldn't have visited half the cool places we did without Louis's expert knowledge! He also showed us where the subway was and lent us some metro cards so we wouldn't have to buy them, showed us how to top them up etc. He even bought us some yummy empanadas on our last day which were delicious! If we ever go back to NYC we would definitely stay with Louis and his lovely family, not only is it a quarter of the price of most hotels, you feel like you experience the real New York City. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sehr sauber und ruhig gelegen. Die Bad- und Küchenmitbenutzung war völlig unproblematisch und absolut ok. Die nächste Subway mit Einstieg in die wichtigsten Linien ist schnell zu erreichen. Nahe der Unterkunft gibt es viele Stores. From Russia: “Cozy room in Jackson Heights” It was our second trip to NYC and we again stayed in Jackson Heights. And more important - that our host again was Luis and his wonderful family! I have no words to express my gratitude to Luis&Maria. We're now like a friends! Room is very clean, you'll have everything you need. We like the neighborhood cause there are a lot of restaurants and shops and it's very easy to get to Manhattan. Luis and Maria are easygoing, helpful and kind and the'll do their best to help you!!!
