This recently renovated two-bedroom apartment is located in one of Philadelphia’s up & coming neighborhoods - Point Breeze / New Bold. There are tons of great restaurants & bars within a 10-15 minute walk. It is only a 10 minute taxi, 20 min subway (Broad Street line is 5 min away) or 30 minute walk to Center City. It's a 15 min taxi to Old City & Penn's Landing & 10 min to the stadiums. There is plenty of street parking available in the neighborhood too! The space This is the #2 apartment on the 2nd floor (1 flights of stairs). You will get access to the entire apartment. It is a recently renovated & well designed space, but being in an older building, it has the normal quirks of one. This is not a high-end hotel so do not expect perfection, but you will be extremely comfortable & happy in this apartment. Expect normal wear & tear for a property that is lived in. It will have all of the amenities you could need to live as if this was your own apartment. Expect the charms and quirks of an older home. And expect a well furnished and decorated space with tons of funky art collected from all over the world. The apartment is broken down into 5 rooms - two bedrooms (one functions as a living room too), a kitchen/dining area, a bathroom with a shower/tub, and the entryway/hallway. THERE IS NO FORMAL LIVING ROOM / FAMILY ROOM! Bedroom 1 - this is the bedroom at the back of the building. It has 3 windows, gets great light in the 2nd half of the day, has a large closet, a tall table to work at, a Smart TV to stream your apps using your own accounts, a dresser, and some side tables. There are curtains in the property to help block the sun if needed. This bedroom will also have a split-unit AC/Heat combo that is hanging from the top of the wall near the ceiling on the left side of the room. Use the long white remote found in this bedroom to control the unit. MAKE SURE YOU POINT THE REMOTE AT THE UNIT FOR IT TO WORK. The machine will make a "beep" sound even if you point the remote away from the device, but the device wont actually register if you are not pointing at the device. There are extra linens and blankets in the closet, or in the bottom drawers of the dresser. The top drawers are for guests to use. Bedroom 2 - this bedroom is at the front of the building and gets ton of sun in the mornings. There are curtains and blinds to help block out the sun if you need a few extra hours of sleep in the morning! This room also functions as a LIVING ROOM so it will have a couch as well. There is no closet in this room, but there is a dresser for your use (the top 4 drawers are for guest use). This bedroom will also have a split-unit AC/Heat combo that is hanging from the top of the wall near the ceiling on the left side of the room. Kitchen - this kitchen is fully stocked with basically everything you might need. The Wi-Fi can also be found in this room near the window. Bathroom - typical full bath with a shower/tub. The art you will see throughout the apartment don't follow any specific theme. It's a collection of art from the Hosts who have over the last 15+ years accumulated a ton of pieces from all over the world. None of it is ultra fancy or meant to be flashy. It's basic art that the Host fell in love with for whatever reason at that point in their life. It's art created by local artists in countries, or cities, from every continent except for Antarctica. We hope you like it. We use a professional cleaning service. Guest access You will have access to the entire apartment. Other things to note Please place any trash bags in the front of the building in the metal trash receptacles inside a trash can. Recycling goes into the blue containers. You can put trash out in the sidewalk on Monday nights for Tuesday morning pickup. Please do not put trash out on any other nights unless you see neighbors doing the same.
