Vacation at Lake Schaal in the Dorfhaus Techin

In the midst of the wild nature of Lake Schaalsee is the idyllic listed village of Techin. In 2021, we lovingly renovated and stylishly furnished our village house with space for 5 guests (plus small child). Families, nature lovers, active holidaymakers or those looking for a break will all get their money's worth here! Whether you're swimming in crystal-clear water in the lake within walking distance, cycling & hiking in the beautiful forests or lounging in the large garden - the perfect place for a break! The space With a loving attention to detail, we renovated and stylishly furnished our village house in early summer 2021. We discovered and uncovered the original terrazzo tiles, cleared wooden floors of carpet and sanded them or even pushed out walls to create a bright and airy sense of space for our guests. The result is a 78 sqm individually designed holiday home over two floors, which aesthetically connects the old and the new. On the upper ground floor, there is a bedroom for 2 persons. The beds in this room can be used as single beds as well as clicked together as a double bed without a gap. In addition to the guest toilet, here is also the heart of the house - the light-flooded living/dining and cooking area. A cozy sofa and two Scandinavian-style armchairs, a large dining table and a fully equipped brand new kitchen offer plenty of space for togetherness - whether it's cooking or having good conversations with a glass of wine in front of our new Swedish stove. On the 1st floor there are two more bedrooms (1 double bed & 1 x 140cm bed). The new bathroom is also on the 1st floor and immediately exudes a wellness atmosphere. A walk-in shower, bathtub, sink, toilet and towel heating offer everything you need to feel good. In the large garden you can relax on the garden lounger in the sun, drink coffee in the cozy shade of the hazelnut tree and enjoy the silence while the children let off steam in the garden (the trampoline can be seen in a picture, but this is no longer on site). Note: Our house is unfortunately not accessible. The beds on the ground floor are low and the steps to the upper floor are quite steep. Bed linen & towels (19€ per set) as well as a high chair or trip stairs and a children's travel cot for our younger guests are available on request. Guest access The picturesque village of Techin is located directly on Lake Techin, a tributary of Lake Schaal. Approximately 20 houses line the village's only three streets. From the bedroom on the upper floor you have great views over the wide fields of the surrounding area. Parking is available directly on the premises. A shed is also available for storing bicycles. Other things to note A rowing boat can be rented from the forestry and sea management. This allows you to explore the surroundings from the water or try your luck while fishing. A fishing permit can be bought locally. If you do not have a fishing license, you can apply for a tourist fishing license at the Bürgerbüro in Zarrentin. (Rowing and fishing is only allowed in the designated areas as we are in a nature reserve. Please take care of a fishing permit in time). Please note: Our house is not accessible. There's also a quite steep staircase to the 1st floor. Unfortunately, the trampoline, which can be seen in a picture, is no longer on site.
