Private home with homey furnishings and themed bedrooms...Victorian Ladies (double bed) is a nod to the past Victorian era. Located one mile from public golf course, equestrian center, ten miles from Massena, NY and the St. Lawrence River, Eisenhower Locks and Robert Moses State Park. Also ten miles to SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson University, and 15 miles St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton. The space This home started out as a hotel in the late 1800s. It has been a post office and a convenience store with gas pumps in the past. We purchased in 1995, at which time it had been a private residence for many years. Much of the interior remains true to the original footprint. It seems right to bring this building back to it's beginnings as a hotel. You will be welcomed by your host, our three Great Danes and four cats. Guest access Guests are welcome to sit and chat with each other or the host(s) in any part of the house. We strive to provide a relaxed atmosphere for all. Whether you be in our area for vacation, work or some other activity, we welcome you. Truck drivers are welcome...there is parking across the road. All bedrooms are on the second floor accessed by stairs. No pets, please. It is strongly recommended that guests have their own transportation as public transportation is not readily available.
