Charming medieval Château

Beautiful medieval château in the middle of the French countryside of the Burgundy region. Surrounded by a moat, it is ideal for escaping to another era, away from the hectic city life, or to write your novel. With 9 bedrooms, Anizy sleeps 16 people (can do 18). Indulge in a comfortable and cosy château, hike and explore, taste the delicious local products (honey, cheese, wine and Charolais beef), play pingpong or foosball. There are nearby lakes that are great to swim, paddle or kayak in! The space A listed classical monument, Anizy is truly unique. Part of its stones date back to the 5th century, and it had influences from the 12th, 16th and 17th centuries. This incredible place has sailed through the ages, and is filled with history. There are 9 bedrooms, sleeping 16 guests (can accommodate 18 if need be) and 6 en-suite bathrooms. And yet, it has that 'at home' feeling...you will find yourself relaxing by the fireplace in winter (our favourite bit ) or soaking up some sun by the river in the spring / summer. Little bonus... the alpacas have been there since the renovations began, 40 years ago. They don't need tending to, but are very sweet and will always be up for a piece of stale bread!
