Cozy & Convenient Loft on Lakeshore LKN 1-Bed

Relax and enjoy the summer months on Lake Norman at The Loft on Lakeshore! Whether it be a couple's getaway, special occasion, a quick stop while traveling or scouting out the LKN area, we welcome you. Located in a quiet neighborhood only 1.5 miles off I-77, the Loft is a private second floor guesthouse overlooking Lake Norman. You'll also have access to an outdoor balcony, kayaks, paddle boards, the lake, beach, fire pit, and gazebo. The space The Loft on Lakeshore is built above our detached garage and provides privacy and enhancements like bead board ceilings, barn doors and special touches all hand-crafted for a serene, cottage vibe. The owners live next to the guesthouse in their 2-story home. The detached garage has no cars and is used as a workshop mainly on the weekends. The backyard is a garden setting with seasonal plants, flowers and wildlife. Keep in mind the Loft is in a neighborhood, so there may be activities such as lawn mowing and leaf blowing, but it's usually pretty quiet. (Lake Norman) The Loft is a short drive to Davidson College and the downtown area, Lowe's Corporate Campus, downtown Mooresville, The Venues at Langtree, The Shops at Langtree and more and is right off I-77 at Exit 31. Charlotte is a 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic. Here is what each Loft room offers: Kitchen: Full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, Cuisinart air-fryer/oven, hot plate and Keurig. Note: there is no full size oven or stove. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, dishes, paper products and a few snacks! Granite throughout with island and barstools. Restrictions don't allow us to have a full size oven. Bedroom: Queen size pillow-top bed, soft bedding and pillows, ceiling fan, storage drawers, luggage rack, room-darkening shades, double barn doors, private entry to bathroom. Bathroom: Tile shower with custom glass door, pebble floor. Large vanity with waterfall faucet, built-in cubbies, bath towels, extra toiletries, blow-dryer, iron, barn door closure. Living area: Comfortable couch, 58' Smart TV with streaming services for Netflix, AppleTV, Prime Video, etc... Also local networks. Supply of games, puzzles, books for your enjoyment. Living area has views of the lake and opens to the private balcony. Dining/Work area: Seating at a round table with two padded chairs and a refurbished church pew that holds up to 4 additional people, cabinets overhead and plenty of natural light for working or dining. WiFi- We have strong wi-fi with extenders to boost even further. See Wi-Fi amenities for current speed. A security camera is located in the driveway near your parking space for peace of mind. We've never had any theft or issues. We are in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Guest access Guests can park in a designated spot in the driveway. Our street has very little traffic. It's easy getting around the neighborhood (Lakeview Shores) and area and Uber is available as well. Our neighborhood has a lake access lot for those guests bringing a boat. In addition, a launch ramp right around the corner and personal dock make it very convenient for guests with boats, jet skis and trailers. The Loft is on the second floor of a newly-built detached garage. You will need to climb the steps with your luggage. You will have the second floor all to yourselves with private balcony. The garage below serves as a workshop/storage garage for the owners and is not used for cars, but for motorcycles. We welcome you to explore the outdoor space and swim off the dock in the warm months. You'll have access to the lake, beach, fire pit, owner's dock and gazebo. We have paddle boards, kayaks, life jackets and noodles for you to use during the summer or upon request in the off-season. Other things to note Check-in is 3pm or after. Please let owner know the approximate time you will arrive. This helps with cleaning schedules and ensuring the outside space is ready. Checkout is 11am or before. No children under 13. No infants. No pets unless service animals No parties or gatherings - this space is designed for 2 No smoking on the property Quiet hours: 11pm - 8am Must be 21 years of age or older to rent. Only use property of the owners, not neighbors For guests with boats, jet skis and trailers, please discuss docking in advance with the owner. The water is low this year, and you may need to launch your boat from a local marina instead of our community ramp.
