This is a private corner room, three sunny windows in a house at street level...not a basement/condo/townhome/apt. Bath shared with ONE other room. Only 3 rooms total in the house. This is not an empty rental with just the basics for someone to sleep at. You are looking at the Euro Bedroom, so named because of the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben canvas photos:-) It features three windows and receives a ton of afternoon and evening sun. If you need a workspace suitable for a laptop, this is your room as it includes a desk! The room is 115 sq feet (11.5x10) with a Queen bed, bedside tables with lamps, and a full-length mirror on the back of the door. This room has a shared bathroom with one other room. (possibly two other people maximum) It has soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, and a hair dryer to lighten your luggage load. If you'd like a private shower please book the Master Bedroom that I offer. There may be other guests staying in the house which turns the kitchen and living room areas into shared spaces. House is very clean and I’m grateful to you to help keep it that way. 70" TV with Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, Netfix, Hulu, Paramount+ and Discovery+ in the common area! I do charge for an extra guest please include it in your booking so we can put out the correct amount of towels for you. Also this room is limited to two (2) people including children. Just book an additional room with me if you need it. The house is not "child proof". I'm happy to host your children but realize you will need to bring your own supplies/intellect to childproof the house. This is one of three bedrooms located at first floor level. (3 steps total from the street to the front door) Kitchen and living room are shared. International Guests are very welcome! Regarding Air Conditioning: The house has AC. HOWEVER, IF you LOVE a 60 degree house in the summer, this is probably not the right place for you. I listed gym only because I do have a weight set, yoga mat and blocks. If the weather is nice you can do a workout/yoga on the deck. Alternately you can go to 24 Hour Fitness/Vasa/Chuz nearby. I have opted to not charge a cleaning fee, please help me out by cleaning up after yourself. If the home looks as it did when you arrived, you can expect a 5 star review I wash/bleach/steam sanitize all bedding before every guest arrives. If there is anything I can reasonably provide for you please ask and I will try. I have traveled the world and love it when I can eliminate items from my luggage because my host is able to accommodate my request. During your stay We do our best to personally greet you upon arrival to ensure your every concern is able to be taken care of...however, we just can't be available 24/7 I’ve traveled extensively using Airbnb, Hostels and Hotels. By far my favorite travel are the social hosts who clue me into the local area so I try to replicate that for guests. It’s not uncommon for guests and myself get along famously, having roommate dinners, movie or game nights. (ask me about the Peruvian Embassy party in DC with my hosts, the beach house BBQ in Costa Rica or the treehouse in Huntington Beach) My experience as a host thus far is that some guests are quite social but most others prefer to keep to themselves with minimal contact. Both are fine. That said, if everything goes well, you most likely won't need to interact with me. At the same time, if you desire more interaction, I’m happy to accommodate. I will be available for you and am here to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Throughout your stay, I'm only a phone call or text away. Other things to note We are a shoe free house to keep the carpets clean. Being a family home, we also have a very strict no smoking policy. This includes marijuana and vaporizing - inside or outside – on the front porch or back deck – anywhere on the property. Please do not ask for an exception to this, we literally have guest who stay with us ONLY because we are pet and smoke free. Allergies can be very sensitive! I usually have bikes for my guests use, ask in your message to me if it is important to you!. If you're anything like me, you'll forget something in your mad dash back to the airport. Don't worry - this has happened before and we always find a way to get your prized possessions back into your hands.
