Description
NEW THIS YEAR: High speed internet, Heat pumps for heat and AC throughout the house, and a new refrigerator/ freezer Secluded and beautiful, at the end of a gravel dead end road, the Swallow’s Nest is part of our organic farm and wildlife refuge. You’ll find serenity here with huge open vistas. We are two miles from the town of Brandon. Brandon has restaurants, shops, art galleries and music venues. Check out what’s happening in Brandon at the Brandon area chamber of commerce. The space The Swallow's Nest is a stand alone guest house next to our main house but oriented for complete privacy. Upstairs there is a bedroom with one queen sized bed, and an open loft with two twin sized beds. On the ground floor is one large, modern bathroom. It includes a tub shower, sink, toilet, washer and dryer. Also on the ground floor is a full sized, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine and gas stove. An eating area of table and 4 chairs flows into the living room area. We have changed up the living area with a smaller couch and a few differences. Photos to come. Outside is a stone patio facing the pond and Green Mountains with chairs and a table. There are good restaurants, two breweries and a distillery in the village of Brandon. Sadly pets are not allowed here. Guest access As a guest of The Swallows Nest you will have access to the cottage itself as well as the beautiful stone patio overlooking our pond and the Green Mountains. There is a teak patio table with chairs for dining, and Adirondack chairs for enjoying the view. If you are interested in a walking tour of the farm, and Lyn is available, this can be arranged. Other things to note There is no smoking anywhere on the property, inside or outside. In an effort to maintain the peace and serenity of the farm, and its wildlife management, hosting parties is not included in the reservation agreement.
