Private room with a queen size bed and ceiling fan on the first floor of a large farmhouse in the country. The space Our country farmhouse is 19 miles from Whistling Straits home of the 2015 PGA. Many other golf courses, including Black Wolf Run are only 10 miles away. There are great mountain bike and hiking trails nearby and a 17 mile paved Old Plank bike trail. Elkhart Lake, a famous summer destination, is only 3 miles away and is well known for racing at Road America. Two nearby observation towers provide beautiful views of the countryside and Lake Michigan which is a short 15 mile drive away in Sheboygan. Our home is an old farmhouse that we are slowly restoring to it's original beauty. We may have a remodeling project going on from time to time but if we do, I'll let you know. Guest access Guests have access to our entire home, the porch, large yard and fire pit for bonfires, and if you're a hockey fan, our synthetic ice in the barn. Feel free to play the piano in our living room, cook your own meals in our kitchen, and enjoy them in our dinning room. Gather around the bonfire at night and enjoy the beautiful display of stars in the night sky. Bathrooms are shared. During your stay We will likely be coming and going during your stay. We will give you as much or as little interaction as you'd like and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction for the best restaurants and activities around. Other things to note We have a five year old yellow lab named Tillie and her puppy named Juwel that live in our home with our family. Barn cats are not allowed inside our home, although they do frequent our porch in the mornings.
