Beautiful 1-bedroom apartment with true king-size bed. It's right off US-1, the main north-south thoroughfare. You'll be just far enough away that you won't hear any traffic noise, but you'll have fast access to everywhere in Fort Lauderdale -- the beach, Las Olas Blvd, Wilton Manors, and the airport. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's and many restaurants are all close. The space It's a 1960's building, right at ground level, but updated. Windows on three sides bring in light all day long. Distance from the property to the beach: >>2.0 miles -- (3.2 km) -- (57 minute walk). Most people will find this too far to walk, especially when carrying beach gear. The house manual includes detailed beach parking instructions. Babies: every unit has a crib, and a highchair is available on request. Guest access The City of Fort Lauderdale will inspect the apartment on January 9th at 11 am. Unfortunately we have no choice in this matter. The inspector will have to go in the apartment. If you book this day, you agree to let the inspector in. You do not need to be there, however. One of my employees will be there and can let the inspector in. Other things to note -Asthma, allergies, respiratory problems or hyper-sensitive to smells? This is an old apartment. It was built with lots of wood, it is surrounded by flowers and bushes, and it has had many experiences. If you have these conditions, it probably won’t be the right choice for you. -This is an old house and the unit is on the ground floor. Bugs are a constant battle in Florida. You may encounter some during your stay. We exterminate using traps, bait, sprays, and fumigation. There is bug spray on the top shelf in the kitchen cabinet furthest from the sink. If you need us to come and exterminate, we can send someone Monday through Saturday (Sundays are more difficult). -We clean ovens about every 90 days. For most guests heating the oven to 325F (160C) is enough to sterilize it after the previous guest. -All of our TVs (in all units) are 4K Smart TVs (mostly Samsung). They have apps preinstalled for Netflix, HBO, etc, and you can sign on to your own streaming accounts. We do not, however, have cable. Local channels are very limited. -Beach gear: We provide beach chairs, beach towels, and a small cooler. You can rent umbrellas at some beaches. We do not provide snorkeling gear. -We provide a Keurig coffee maker and four coffee pods to get you started on the first morning. -We no longer provide a drip (filter) coffee maker.
