Countless nature hikes and drives are accessible in the surrounding area, and the gorgeous Skykomish River is just a three-minute stroll from the cabin. 1 hour from Leavenworth and 1.25 hours from downtown Seattle, 15 minutes from Index. Groceries can be found at Gold Bar Family Grocery, Index Grocery store (15 min west) or for an item or two at the Sky Gas Station in Skykomish. PARKING: Free parking for 4 cars in the summertime and 2-3 when it is snow time. Other things to note No shoes are allowed in the house. We have plenty of slippers next to the front door. Please, take off your shoes for your comfort and to keep our carpets clean. The water heater tank is not too big, so be mindful of the hot water usage. Allow some time for the water to heat up again.
