Welcome to the Mt Baker Mini home! With a full bathroom, kitchen, sleeping and eating area, this "mini" house packs a punch in terms of space utilization. This space is an affordable way to explore all Baker and Bellingham have to offer. Relax and recharge from whatever adventure you've taken, or simply enjoy resting in a new space. Just under 1 hour to Mt Baker ski area and 15 minutes to downtown Bellingham. The mini home sits near our main home, on our little half acre property. It is a country feel with cows right across the road. There are a few hikes very close by (Sumas mountain is a 3 minute drive) and the Nooksack river which is just 1 minute drive to the access point. Lots of fishing! Mount Baker is just under an hour to the slopes. We have a fence to provide privacy from the main home, along with curtains/shades and the home is well insulated. Our property is on a road with loud trucks passing by (highway 9) and a train across the street that can cause some loud noise! Ear plugs are also provided and also a white noise machine. Please note that it’s just a mini fridge! No freezer or microwave here. You have your own parking, and pathway to the mini home. The mini home is on Lind rd, a dead end street. Near a train crossing, off highway 9. The train is rather loud but either comes once a or twice in an evening, or once a week! Unfortunately there is no consistent schedule. Light sleepers might find the train disruptive-we have provided earplugs and some white noise for you! We are a 20 min drive from Bellingham and an hour from Mt Baker ski area. There is a grocery store one mile from the mini home at the roundabout. Guests have their own parking spot on the property. Having a vehicle is a must for this area! Although two guest maximum is listed, we can provide a pack n play upon request to accommodate an infant if necessary!
