Welcome to The Peninsula Cottage, a stunning & private 4 season cottage located in Haliburton, just 2.5 hours north of Toronto. Sitting on a 2 acre lot by the shores of Grass Lake (part of Haliburton's premier 5 lake chain), our home has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a media and games room and a steaming hot tub. A large open concept home surrounded by grand windows that bring in an abundance of natural light and overlook the vast property. The living room has an electric fireplace, a Smart TV and spacious couches to sink into. Just off the living room is a cozy three-season Muskoka room offering lake views through large windows that invite the outdoor feel into the home. The eat-in kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, chef quality cookware and all the essentials you need to cook up a storm with your family and friends. Our kitchen also comes fully stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, oil and spices. The cottage offers 4 spacious bedrooms (plus additional sleeping space in the basement) and sleeps 10 people comfortably. We have 3.5 bathrooms across our home which includes a master ensuite (with a stand-up shower as well as a gorgeous pedestal tub that overlooks the large backyard and the waters), 2 full bathrooms with stand-up showers in each as well as a powder room on the main floor. The basement features a wood burning fireplace and a Smart TV, the ideal place to cozy up during cold evenings with a cup of hot chocolate, giving you a classic cottage experience. It also has a games area for all your entertainment needs. Enjoy a fun round of pool or show off your skills on the foosball table. Surrounded by nature and friendly local wildlife (enjoy occasional visits from deer, chickadees and ducks), this vacation home will not disappoint! Guest access Guests have access to our entire cottage and overall property including our waterfront. Please always practice water safety when entering the lake and know that guests entering the lake are doing so at their own risk. We recommend using the life jackets provided even if you are an experienced swimmer. We also ask that you be respectful of neighboring shorelines while in the water. We do not encourage guests to go onto the lake during the winter and early spring months when the lake is frozen. It is HIGHLY dangerous and guests who choose to go onto the frozen lake, are doing so at their own risk. Other things to note The property is monitored by a Blink doorbell as well as security cameras, which are located outside (one facing the driveway and the other facing the back entrance). Cameras are not hidden and can be seen in plain sight. There are no cameras or listening devices inside the cottage. We have a local property manager who may drop by the property for maintenance purposes from time to time (ie. to clear snow off the driveway/front porch, lawn & hot tub maintenance etc.). We have a limited supply of firewood at our property, it is first come, first serve and it is prone to getting wet during the winter and spring months. We'd encourage you to bring your own firewood if you plan to use the wood burning fireplace. Please exercise caution when using the fireplace - make sure to follow the directions provided very carefully to avoid any misuse. Please note, photos of the property may slightly differ from the actual property.
