Rated as one of the best suburbs of Mon Pen, peaceful Somers is a great base to explore the sights of MP. Walk down to the quiet & dog friendly beach (8 minute walk), grab a delicious breakfast & coffee at the Somers General, dine in style at Tulum village in Balnarring, and return to a cosy, well appointed and pet friendly 3 bedroom house to rest & recharge! MP is buzzing all year with amazing wineries, restaurants, markets & activities like cherry and strawberry picking. The space Open the gate to find loads of space in the front yard to park your cars, and if you look down the road, you will see the calm waters of Western Port bay. Enjoy the camellias blooming in winter, or sit under the leafy maple tree to watch the kids stretch their legs. Inside you will find lofty ceilings with exposed rafters. The lounge space is furnished with comfy couches and a big screen TV where Netflix can be enjoyed. But who needs Netflix, when there’s amazing wineries and beaches to explore! At the end of the day, throw a log on the fire, open up a bottle of red from Paringa Estate or one of the many notable wineries on the Pen, and settle in for a cozy and romantic night. The nighttimes are so very peaceful and the stars seem to shine brighter too in this part of the world. In the kitchen you will find all you need to whip up quick meals, with a retro look Smeg oven, microwave, dishwasher and stainless steel fridge. In the pantry you will find some cooking staples, pots and pans, kettle and a pod coffee maker. Gather around the big and beautiful 8 seater dining meal to share a meal with family and friends. There are 3 cozy bedrooms, all with high quality pillow top mattresses with premium linen and built in robes. And if more sleeping accomodations are needed, a big and comfy sofa bed can be folded out in the living room to accommodate a further 2 people or kids! A small alfresco area greets you outside of the dining room, with outdoor furniture to enjoy outdoor dining. Fire up the bbq and chill out under the large native tree or under the vine covered arbour. The backyard is securely fenced to keep your 4 legged friends safe too! The bathrooms are clean and recently renovated and fitted out with showers and a bath (in the main bathroom). Guest access The whole house and front and back yard is yours! Other things to note We welcome guests to book that are going to use the property respectfully. We have a very strict no party policy at the house, which means no loud music day or night and at 11pm we ask you to move inside with no noise to the neighbours. We love the peaceful neighbourhood and respect our neighbours. We do not allow Buck's / Hen's parties or end of High School Getaways / Schoolies. Well behaved pets are welcome but not on furniture or beds and all traces of pet waste needs to be cleaned up prior to departure. Extra charges apply if this is not done. Children are welcome to stay, but there are no cots available at the property. There are a selection of board games available and a small bin with Lego for their use. The front and backyard is securely fenced and the front yard can be closed off with a gate. Care and supervision will be needed with kids around the fireplace. If the sofa bed needs to be used, it needs to be moved into the middle of the lounge, away from the fireplace. A start up supply of fire Wood will be provided for the fireplace (in fireplace basket) during the winter season. If more is needed during long stays, guests are welcome to provide own wood or purchase a bag of wood from the local Bunnings in Hastings. Guests can contact us to check on supply before coming. Bathing soap is provided at the property, it is recommended to bring your own bathing utensils for hygiene purposes. Also start up supplies of toilet paper, tissues and pantry stables such as tea, coffee and sugar are provided.
