Welcome to the home of the World Famous Honkey the Donkey! Our home is located on 25 acres, is newly remodeled, includes pool, and our pet donkey, Honkey, as well as goat companions that all LOVE to meet new people! You can also get your fill of all the local wineries, breweries, and scenery the hill country has to offer. If you are looking for a place to unwind, take in the beauty of the hill country, and still be within 45 minutes of downtown Austin, this is the place for you! The home is situated on 25 acres where you can hike and take in the beauty the hill country has to offer. Our animals are super friendly and love to interact with our guests. We are within driving distance of Austin (45 mins to downtown), and within 10-20 minutes of countless wineries and breweries. If you prefer boutique and town square shopping, Wimberley Town Square is a mere 25 minutes away. We offer keypad entry, so you can come and go as needed without having to worry about keys. We have additional cabins on the property suited to house 2-6 guests. Please feel free to inquire about their availability as well. We are no smoking and no pet policy which includes service animals due to livestock on site. Thanks for understanding. You have access to the entire house, as well as all 25 acres of our property, with the exception of the work shop and the barn. There is a pool that can also be heated (running the heater requires an additional propane surcharge of $250 to heat and $100/day to maintain temp of 80-83 degrees - requires 72 hour advance notice to heat), barn (with roaming barn cats), hiking, lots of goats, Honkey the Donkey- who will let you pet him the entire day if you should have the time, grill, and much more. We are located next door to the property, should you need assistance. Please note, this home is our sole source of income. Several properties in our area have been targeted recently by large groups coming and throwing 300-500 people parties, but stating their intentions are otherwise. The properties have been destroyed. While all of our guests to this point have been nothing short of delightful, we must state the following to ensure our family is not without this source of income. We do not allow offsite guests without prior approval. Should you stay at our place and violate any of the house rules, which includes exceeding the maximum amount of allowable guests for your stay, you will be subject to immediate removal by local law enforcement. We, as well as Airbnb, reserve the right to pursue litigation to recoup any loss and/or damages as a result of your violation of the house rules. Quiet time/noise reduction begins at 9PM CST. All music and/or other loud devices must be turned off by this time. By booking our place, you agree to be bound by these terms, as well as agree that violation of the house rules or Airbnb guidelines makes your short term rental contract null and void immediately. We have poured our heart and soul into this home want to keep it in the best condition possible for all current and future guests. All the properties in our area have large amounts of acreage, so you do not have to worry about being bothered during your stay. Uber, Taxi, and Limo service are available. However, ride share can be a little tough to find if you don't book in advance. Party Bus wine tours are available as well. We can provide a list of additional local drivers, if needed. We are about 4 miles from downtown Dripping Springs, 25 minutes from downtown Wimberley, and 45 minutes from downtown Austin. Uber is available as well as limo service and bus tours for any of the above, as well as for wine tours.
